There is no suggested DD-WRT version for R6700v2 in the wiki. There is the DD-WRT Build 25251 20141103 for V1 and Build 36995 20180919 for V3, but we seem to skip right over V2.
Can I use either of the files for V1 or V3 to install on V2?

Oh my God!!! Thank you so very much! God bless you for the very quick reply!!!!
So far it seems to work. I just now got into the GUI and password protected the wifi, but I have not done anything else to it yet. I reported it to the thread to which you linked me and reported my findings!

I was going to say you didn't need to double-flash, but it seems the webflash file *is* larger. I will leave this thread open just in case something comes up. _________________ "Life is but a fleeting moment, a vapor that vanishes quickly; All is vanity"

It has been a long time since I have done anything like this, so bear with me please.
The way I understand this is I am to go to Administration > Router Update and upload the file "factory-to-ddwrt.img" which you provided in the post above. The required file type is *.chk
Do I just rename the file? Or am I doing something wrong here?
1) My R6700v2 has the stock OEM firmware. May I use the last DD-WRT available (it's now "02-20-2022-r48402") ?
2) The peacock thread (https://forum.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=51486) says it's for broadcom chipset only. Since R6700v2 has MediaTek chipset, does the hard reset (30-30-30) applies to it?
3) The hard reset must be done twice, one after loading img and other after loading webflash.bin ?

Yes, you should be able to flash the current factory-to-ddwrt.img file. There is no need to flash any other file until you decide to upgrade or downgrade to another release.

NO

You do not need to double-flash this router, there have been mixed results with this. Do so at your own risk. You don't need to hard reset the router unless you run into issues, and if so, you either use the factory defaults page under administration in the DD-WRT webUI or 'nvram erase && reboot' via telnet or ssh (not the commands box in the webUI!). _________________ "Life is but a fleeting moment, a vapor that vanishes quickly; All is vanity"

So I just flashed to the latest firmware in the link that you sent and I still have the same problem. It was on an older firmware prior.
[Scratch this Old Message}
Since I already have DD-WRT on the router, do I skip to just doing a firmware upgrade to the bin file or do I have to do both the factory.img and then a firmware upgrade to the bin file?
The webflash.bin file is for upgrading. So, the only other option is to review your wireless settings to see if there is something suspect. _________________ "The woods are lovely, dark and deep,

"It's broken" without amplifying information or sharing screenshots of your settings is not going to help *anyone* to help you troubleshoot your issues. And @egc, we don't know the wifi settings Milax uses, do we? I'm feeling too lazy to search posts... _________________ "Life is but a fleeting moment, a vapor that vanishes quickly; All is vanity"
