Router/Version: TP-Link TL-WR841ND v11
Update method: WebUpgrade
File/Kernel: tl-wr841nd-webflash.bin_r58464 / Linux 3.18.140-d6 #218489 Sat Oct 5 11:03:35 +07 2024 mips
Previous/Reset: r58381 / no
Mode/Status: AP wired and wireless / Up and running for 6:32 hours
Issues/Errors: Nothing significant
The fact is that the router connected to the Internet (to the Internet provider). And it reports an error, the orange WAN indicator flashes (the icon in the form of a planet). Internet is working, I just think it's a glitch

They do not. However the build appears solid, up 12 hours so far.
Agreed. I turned on my lights and the Wi-Fi lights are off. I care not a bit. The build seems stable _________________ Netgear R9000

I have no idea why this was fixed for the alpha build but not merged into the main builds. When that test build was released and posted, @BrainSlayer just wanted confirmation that it worked, which was verified. Maybe he forgot due to more pressing issues. Who knows? The only active development I have seen in recent weeks was for adding some Buffalo AX routers. Not really much more except for some kernel 6.6 updates. _________________ - Linksys EA8500: I-Gateway, WAP/VAP 5ghz only. Features: WDS-AP, VLANs, Samba, WG, Entware - r59429

@lexridge, thanks, I am not sure why but I will continue trying on each update. Maybe bs will see this. You have a serial cable for this router, maybe you can enable the eoip tunnel and see if you can send another log of it?

I no longer have that configuration as I have been onto other things. However, you can do this yourself with this or any release, without a serial cable by doing the #strings /dev/mtd26 command and post the output here as an attachment. I am sure since it still doesn't work with latest releases, it has to be dumping the kernel which this command would confirm.
I have been focusing most of my time on 802.11s and Transmit Power issues atm. _________________ - Linksys EA8500: I-Gateway, WAP/VAP 5ghz only. Features: WDS-AP, VLANs, Samba, WG, Entware - r59429

Or you have a misconfiguration.
ssergey It is working as it should...tested on Dynalink DL-WRX36 and on XR500 -- both 58464 and SmartDNS has been working ever since, (better that Gen Z) indeed _________________ Atheros

I'm afraid of confusing the chronology, but after another firmware update Netgear WNDR3800 was left without working DNS service. The configuration was as follows:

ssergey Life is a mystery same, as the mystery you ware into...
-cloudflare-dns.com those had an outrage https://thehackernews.com/2024/10/cloudflare-thwarts-largest-ever-38-tbps.html
-no idea why you have such a SmartDNS "cloud me flare" config..but you know better than me..
-1 or 2 lines (diff IP's) of the same resolver would be sufficient enough, no need of guacamole
-although it will work, its not a good practice to mix https and tls servers in the same config...i guess one will be prioritized than another...
- server 8.8.8.8 -bootstrap-dns - bootstrap DNS is not very much needed, nut anyway...
-to use DNS4 & DNS6 you also need an IPv6 i believe...(we dont know about your settings do we)
-Glad that everything is working, again (if Gen Z was on the same page would be great...) _________________ Atheros
