Per ewo32's suggestion . . configured WireGuard tunnel for ProtonVPN and it does connect with r58381 and below. OpenVPN ProtonVPN config still fails to connect on anything above r57956.
Router: WRT3200ACM
File: ddwrt-linksys-wrt3200acm-webflash.bin
Kernel (probably?): Linux 4.9.337 #3959 SMP Sun Aug 27 04:36:00 +07 2023 armv7l
Previous: r55678. no reset
Mode: Gateway, VPN, extra virtual wlan, NAS
Issues/Errors: Router KEEPS REBOOTING. the wifi AP show up (except the virtual one), and reboots after some seconds
UPDATE:

Works with quic and WiFi stable.
If you have FreeBSD 14.1 X64 client and want to connect 5GHZ WIFI, DDWRT->Wireless->Basic->Network mode must be changed to Mixed instead of AC/N which I verified.
The only bug for me, I still lost the internal /jffs.
Thanks for your response.
"53"662? So, you think it is a problem by linux kernel version? because I was (and now am again) on r55677 (probably downloaded it as 55678), and it is stable for my router.
Don't know if it will be safe to upgrade to a more recent version now
@kp69 What kind of loads are you putting through the device ?
I haven't encountered the seven-day reboot problem that you mention - builds over the past few months for the 32X have been stable, even on K6.1, in my experience. Almost all my client devices are linux or android, if that makes a difference. 32X has less than a half dozen devices connected, mainly on 5GHz.
Also, I recall that you said in another post that you don't reset... maybe its time for a reset ?

Just flashed this build around 3 hours ago after 58335 crapped out and rebooted after 8 days ~19 hours. The longest uptime I have seen for you is 12 days on 6.1 builds. BTW, reset is trivial and probably will not fix anything as I would be loading the same configuration afterwards and I'm not maxed out on nvram size. Only factor for me would be the two wireless clients on the 2.4 band. There's only one setting I can change that would even be a factor: "LDPC (Disable for ESP8266)" which is already disabled, so is SFE. Guess I have to be the one to connect serial and provide logs since nobody else has the skills to or wants to inconvenience themselves to. _________________ "Life is but a fleeting moment, a vapor that vanishes quickly; All is vanity"

I try to upgrade regularly, so the 12 days might correspond to an interval when I was busy and skipped a few releases before the next upgrade. I think I once had 30 days + uptime on DD-WRT release - it would have been a release around Nov / Dec 2023. Don't remember or not if I reported that one in the build thread - I had a 1900AC back then.
