hello,
this is my first flash. having trouble getting repeater bridge to work:

- the main router I want to bridge I don't have setup access to.. so getting all the right info is not as straight forward. I'm not trying to do any a shabernak. It's from my apartment and the ppl here wouldn't understand what I'm trying to do/get scared..

- I have a main pc without wifi and am trying to get arch linux on it..

- the objective is to connect that main pc via eth to my bridge and also extend the barely reaching wifi

- I'm accessing the router with a wonky working live USB on a sbc (armbian).

observations:

- router behavior with known issue of browser history clean BUT also wont boot up correctly after reset (hard+soft). need to reset, power off and then boot.

- after following the ralink repeater bridge instructions i cant connect to router via wifi. get kicked super fast on connecting. (same for additional virtual AP)

i noticed the broadcom devices have way more setups and peacock also talks abt routing settings which are not mentioned in the ralink setup. other than that the only setting i am uncertain about is if 3600 for wap2 passphrase time interval is correct.

thx for any help and sorry if i walked in without knocking

Consider using station (client) mode.
Your wireless is acting as your wan.

The only thing is that you must use a different subnet.
So reset to defaults and use as IP address e.g.192.168.61.1

If you have more clients use the wifi of your router.
This way you are also shielded from the appartement router

See https://wiki.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Client_Mode
