|
I am scanning the source code to find out what Linux Kernel version is used for a specific router (for e.g. ASUS RT-ACRH13). While I can't find the router name anywhere, in few places I saw the chip family, but not the one used in this ASUS. Additionally other chip family names appear in multiple places within different Kernel versions, what makes it even more ambiguous to me.
How can I find Kernel version for a specific router in the source code? |

https://wikidevi.wi-cat.ru/ASUS_RT-ACRH13 - is IPQ4018
DDWRT current development goes mainly 6.1 & 6.6
while for some routers still supported/used kernels are 4.9 & 4.4 very few on 4.14
others lower class routers are on 3.10 and 3.18 and ect..
p.s. you can give it a try and see for yourself as IPQ4018 is Qualcomm very likely to be on 6.1 or 6.6 as only R9000 (Alpine AL-514) is left on 4.9 and few Broadcoms (BCM4709A0) are mostly on 4.4 _________________ Atheros
