Unit is a VPN client and did not became operational...reverted back to 57834...sorry no time for reset and recompile...
My other unit that is not VPN client was working but... reverted it to 57834 too...

Mode/Status: Gateway (SFE), Access Point (DD-WRT firmware,2.4GHz, 5GHZ, WPA2/WPA3, 802.11r/v/k), IPV6 (DHCP6 w/ prefix delegation), Entware, DOT via SmartDNS/DNSMasq, OpenVPN server, Wireguard Server + 2 wired access points (DD-WRT firmware,2.4GHz, 5GHZ, WPA2/WPA3, 802.11r/v/k)
Issues/Errors:
Up 2 hours. USB 2.0 working properly for Entware and "jffs" partitions. Speed (tested via nPerf.com) is very close to published, which is equal or favorable to the ISP router. OpenVPN server not working as expected.
OpenVPN fails to start. Wireguard server is working. Rolled back to r57834. System log attached (not serial but should have required info).

Bravo! Brainslayer. I know this router is a new addition. The first r57793 only wlan1 worked 2.4ghz. I could connect to the 5ghz wlan0 and wlan2 but I had no internet. Sorry, I do not have a serial cable to give you a dump. This release wlan0,1 and 2 are all working. Great job!

Thanks for the info, I will do this. I have also created a separate thread to keep track and document the progress this newly added router in the new thread so that it does not muddy up this thread. Can't believe they are fire selling this router for $20.

So it looks like I might be back at square one with the routers USB ports.
If I try to connect my External Seagate hard drive, it will turn off after staying connected to the routers usb 3.0 port. The router itself is indeed usb 3.0 and has been working just fine with other routers. The AX89X is the only one that the hard drive acts strange with.
Particularly, if the drive detects its usb is disconnected it will turn off. but with this router, its still connected and yet turns off anyway. its like the AX89X router is turning off its usb 3.0 port even though I have it enabled still.
