I searched the Forums and I didn't find anything that wasn't nearly a decade old.

I have a D-Link DIR 826L (Cloud N600)and I was hoping to Flash it using DD-WRT. I don't see this as supported so I hoped I could provide the details and see if you had a version that would be compatible or if one could be made as this is a very common Router that I am sure is laying around a lot of homes.
Details pulled from https://routerchart.com/d-link/d-link-cloud-n600-dir-826l-dir-826l-264

FCC details and Images can be found: FCC > FCC E-filing > EAS > List Exhibits Page

Details
FCCID KA2IR636LA1
Chipset: Ralink RT6856 @ 700 MHz
RAM: 128MB
Flash 16MB
USB 2.0
IPv4
IPv6

Thank you

So, we open a new thread with same information as other thread instead of bumping previous support request. Makes perfect sense.

D-Link DIR-826L

DIR-826L without Wifi

Slight chiding aside, hardware support is usually best achieved by acquiring a hardware donation to be delivered to the developer. More recently, acquiring devices in the EU market is easiest because of finnicky German customs protocol.

I'll query interest from the developer but make no promises.

No Chiding intended. My apologies if that's the tone it conveyed. I only intended to state context and that I had searched the Forum before creating the post.

Thank you for passing on the request, I appreciate it.

I found another thread regarding Ralink RT6856 support that went unanswered. I also found this thread regarding Ralink SDK, but it seems only older versions are linked. I also found a post about the Linksys WAP300N, which was unanswered (there was also one in the German forum which Sash responded to). This led me to find Linksys GPL article on WebArchive:

https://web.archive.org/web/20150425155203/https://www.linksys.com/us/support-article?articleNum=114663

Which has the GPL tarball for WAP300N: /WAP300N_v1.0.03_build_1.tar.gz

Newer: https://web.archive.org/web/20240514213842/https://www.linksys.com/support-article?articleNum=50485

WAP300N_v1.0.04_build_5.tgz

I also found this github SDK repository, albeit for Linux 2.6, but unknown if it would be of any help:

https://github.com/ljrk0/MTK_ralink_ApSoC_SDK/blob/master/History

I could find NO GPL tarball for this router on any D-Link resource, all I could find was old firmware files: https://legacyfiles.us.dlink.com/DIR-826L/REVA/FIRMWARE/

Also seems that OpenWRT hit a dead end on this CPU/SoC:

https://openwrt.org/docs/techref/hardware/soc/soc.mediatek

Anyhow, outside of requesting (probably requiring payment) the current SDK which supports the SoC directly from MediaTek, I don't see any way this router or similar SoCs will see support, either.
