Add Linksys mx4200 to the List , it is beeing tested as of today, internal build already on testserver
How does one get access to the "testserver"? I have been an active member here since 2006. Seems like I should be able to have it. _________________ - Linksys EA8500: I-Gateway, WAP/VAP 5ghz only. Features: VLANs, Samba, WG, Entware - r60xxx

We are at 57200 as minimum usable build for currently supported AX routers until determined otherwise due to the wifi tab issue that is now fixed. Next up should be Asus RT-AX89X, and this thread doesn't need to focus on that or anything else for that matter. Thanks for the noise.

To summarize, I understand there are currently only three AX devices supported by DD-WRT with one more coming soon.
Code:
Linksys MR7350 2/5 Ghz dual band Gigabit ports only
Linksys MX4200 2/5/5 Ghz tri band Gigabit ports only
Dynalink WRX36 2/5 Ghz dual band One 2.5GB WAN port
Asus RT-AX89X (soon) 2/5 Ghz dual band Two 10gb WAN port
This means no Wifi 6E (6Ghz) or Wifi 7 devices and limited multigig Ethernet devices.
Would like to see the highest end ASUS routers added such as GT-AXE 16000 and RT-BE96U.

Check recent release (57595) downloads folder. There's more than just those four, and RT-AX89X is in active support and development. Sorry, I am only one person, some folks' help is not very helpful, and life takes precedence over building wikis, adding information, or edits. Also, if you want to see a device supported, open new thread and send a hardware donation. Take care now. _________________ "Life is but a fleeting moment, a vapor that vanishes quickly; All is vanity"

Won't happen as these are both Broadcom routers.
And the RT-AX89X does not have 2x 10Gbit WAN ports but a 10GBase-T and a 10G SFP+ port ... you can use them for whatever you want.
And what is so high end about the routers? they also have low power B53 CPUS
You'll quickly realize that they can't manage 10Gbit without tricks ... _________________ Quickstart guides:

Thanks for that, @ho1Aetoo. I didn't chase that rabbit down the hole. Yes, no Broadcom AX Wifi6/6E/7 support will happen in DD-WRT. Seems even the old crowd is oblivious to this. Adding link to this part of the thread for the sticky, knowing both will likely be ignored, because reasons.
PolitePol is throwing the error "Downloaded. Not json: Parser client error: Connection was refused by other side: 111: Connection refused." and I do not use RSS.

What high end routers are candidates for DD-WRT? By high end, I mean must have at least Wifi 6E (or 7), Ethernet ports must be at least 2.5GB, and hardware resources must provide the performance.

Are there any Wifi 6E or Wifi 7 (non-Broadcom) routers that actually are realistic candidates for DD-WRT?
