Hi
I have a problem with the Linksys WRT3200ACM .The cache memory is full after half an hour of watching 4k IPTV, the internet is very slow and nothing will open (I think this is causing it) After restarting, everything is fine and the internet works without any problems.I only use this router for VPN over LAN my TV not support VPN(LG). Can anyone help me with this problem? I have DD-WRT installed and testing all versions, and is the same. I am considering buying another router but I don't know if this will help me. Thank you for any help.
my router only has VPN set, nothing else. Even Wi-Fi is turned off, it is only connected to the TV. Are there any settings that I should change and try? I am using Proton VPN and the settings have been imported from the file. the speed I get from the supplier is only 65 and after 30 minutes it drops to 1, but only in Linksys the one from the supplier is still ok. I'm not an expert, so I'm asking for help. Just to think of something else, I always did an update, I'll try to install everything again, update to the latest version and re-enter, I hope it helps. If not, I will contact you again, thank you for your interest. by the way, maybe you have some suggestions regarding settings that I can use to make everything work better. I checked the settings and they are the same as in the file I imported
I use free protonvpn set set to USA, I'm in the UK. Nordvpn speed is terrible on router, when I wrote to them they only complained about my configuration.I talk to someone once from them and told me what servers I should use and everything was fine for some time. I paid for Nord, it works on the app and windows ok, but the router is a disaster.
I'll take a screenshot when I get home, it's not the latest version of DD-WRT.I think it's from April 2024.
It might not be a bad idea to read over that link a few times. Pay attention to the settings for Encryption Cipher, Hash Algorithm, First Data Cipher, Second Data Cipher and Third Data Cipher as the wrong value *will* impact your throughput.
3rd-party documentation is usually behind DD-WRT development, so the guides by sir egc in the Advanced Networking forum should also be consulted. _________________ "The woods are lovely, dark and deep,

I set up the connection on wireguard and it's the same, it's a free VPN so maybe that's how it is. I set up the connection on my Linksys e6400 and it's exactly the same. It's probably not the fault of my settings because the configuration file was downloaded from the Proton VPN website
you're right, but if something was set incorrectly it wouldn't work at all. And not after downloading, for example, 5 GB, the speed dropped to 1 and after waiting 5 minutes it returned to normal. I checked the ECU and the rest of the parameters yesterday and nothing changes.Maybe someone has protonVPN and can check it. on the website it says that you just need to import the file and everything should work fine
its also possible that your ISP is slowing down the VPN Server , Vodafone Germany does that for sure for some commerical VPN Provider ... they do traffic shaping of P2P and also some selected commercial VPN Provider Server - i experienced that with IPVansish some year ago ...
