• Include operating & wireless modes (e.g. Gateway, Router, AP, SB, WDS, Mesh) and applicable configurations to reproduce.
I was under the impression the the random reboots have been fixed however I just got a reboot after 32 hours of uptime. Anyone else get a random reboot with the WRT1900ACSv2?

Router/Version: Linksys WRT1900AC v1
File: DD-WRT v3.0-r55779 std (04/12/24) Webflash
Kernel: Linux 6.1.84 #197 SMP Fri Apr 5 14:50:32 +07 2024 arm7vl
Previous/Reset: R53133 - Factory reset
Mode/Status: Factory reset, changed password, turned on USB, no internet.
Issues/Errors: NO USB SUPPORT and the wrong CPU clock speed is reported.
I think I know why several people are mentioning NAS and/or Samba is not working. There is no USB support in this version. The USB tab and all the options appear in the GUI, but it just does not work. I factory reset after flashing r55779. I had a USB flash drive, with an indicator light, plugged into the USB port. When I power on the router the USB indicator light turns on, then sometime during the boot process the indicator light turns off and stays off. Using a digital volt meter I measured 5.2 volts at pin #1 of the USB port at power on, then watched the power get switched off sometime during the boot process. Not an under voltage condition, the voltage dropped to 0.00 meaning it was switched off.
Now some people are going to suggest that I have faulty hardware. However, when I switch partitions and boot the OEM firmware all USB functionality is restored. Switch partitions again and all USB functionality stops when R55779 boots. I rolled DD-WRT back to R53133 from R55779 and all USB functionality was again restored. I then tried to connect externally powered USB devices (printer & external HDD) neither of the devices would recognize a connection from the router USB port. Switch back to OEM f/w and both devices work. Switch back to R55779 and both stopped working. To me this would indicate the USB port is being disabled.
I did notice one other issue. I found that the CPU clock speed for the WRT1900AC v1 was reporting as 1200 Mhz rather than the actual 600 Mhz it normally shows. Is that relevant? No idea, but I included a screen shot.

You mean it's finally giving the correct CPU speed:

File/Kernel: r55779 Linux 6.1.84 #391 SMP Fri Apr 12 02:29:59 +07 2024 armv7l
Previous/Reset: r55723 No reset
Mode/Status: Gateway,ExpressVPN, SFE disabled, Ignore WAN DNS,2 Static Leases (Roku),
wlan0 AC Only, Channel 40 + 42, Encryption-Interface wlan0 Enabled, WPA2-PSK/WPA3-PSK,
wlan1 N Only-2.4 GHz, Channel 8 + 4, Encryption-Interface wlan1 Enabled, WPA2-PSK/WPA3-PSK,
USB Support disabled, Status - Stable
Issues/Errors: None
Both WPA2/WPA3 are enabled and error free on my router. I do NOT recommend enabling WPA3. My only speculation is you MUST have a device that supports WPA3 or it can't be enabled.
After an April 2022 Moto phone firmware update our phones would not connect to wifi. After trying every solution I enabled WPA3 just to see if I would connect. Both phones immediately connected and I have kept both WPA2 and WPA3 enabled and error free ever since thru every DD-WRT update since. Prior to my phone firmware update WPA3 killed my wifi connection. I can only assume the Moto firmware update added/preferred WPA3 encryption. I can offer no other explanation.

Did you try both USB ports? I had the same problem with 55723 (4/9/24) on my 1900ac v1 when my drive was plugged into USB2. The drive would not show up and wasn't working. When I put the drive into USB1 (the port combined with eSATA), the drive was recognized and mounted but SMB transfers using macOS was still FUBAR. I know that macOS has had self inflicted SMB issues for a while now, but at least it worked with the old kernel versions (53633 and prior). I've had nothing but problems since the new kernel was introduced. At least the router doesn't reboot with SMB file transfers, but I still can't get any file transfer to complete. I have stayed on 53633 since I use the NAS functionality in my setup.
As far as the CPU speed is concerned, 1200 is the actual speed for the 1900AC v1. Prior versions would show 600 but under load, would increase to 1200.

It took me awhile before I could go back a play with it again. What I am finding is BOTH USB1 & USB2 do not function after R55779 boots; however, eSATA connectivity function as expected, including SMB. Normally I have a 50GB USB external drive connected to USB2 with two partitions mounted as JFFS & OPT used for logging and local file sharing. Then I have 2TB WD External HD connected via eSata used for backup storage via FTP for 4 IP cameras.
Rollback to R53133 and all USB/eSATA ports work as expected. Update to 55779 and only the eSata works. I saw the same behavior in R55209 and R55630.
