While getting sleep the router shut down for some unknown reason I can figure out.
On getting it powered up I could no longer connect to my modem.
Rebooted modem and router. Same issue occurred.
By accident I plugged in my modem line into a lan line and I now have internet again.
Laptop is connect to modem via eth0 and phone and tablet via wifi. same issues.
Am using a Netgear AC2000. I believe it is a 03-25-2024-r55460 netgear-r6850 build. Problem is I can not access 192.168.1.1 via a ping or a browser.
Is this something a 30-30-30 will cure? Or is this a case of a router dying?
Laptop>eth0>router>modem>ips
Phone(tablet)>wifi>router>modem>ips
EDIT
router is now connected to modem via lan4 not the internet connection which I am sure should not be the case. Connecting only eth0 from laptop also does not give me access to router. Can not access 192.168.1.1 from phone wifi either although internet works fine.

"30-30-30 will cure..." is not cure but, troubles...its not recommended at all, as it may brick your router...this was only for very old routers WRT54 long time ago...

make sure both modem and router are on different subnets...like modem 192.168.0.1 and DDWRT router 192.168.1.1...

Topic moved to Ralink. R6850 is MediaTek, which falls under Ralink.

Please give applicable amplifying information i.e. screenshots of router configurations that would create the issue. Also, you do not 30-30-30 this router unless you wish to risk bricking it.
