X64-Build 55615 on HP Mini PC

I just gave ProFTPd a try as I don't want my DSL-Router to be the FTP-Server anymore.

It's working, the FTP-Users only see the FTP-Folder on my big NTFS-Share, FTP working fast.

But ProFTP supports FTPS and I don't find any Information how to get it up on DD-WRT.
SFTP also would be ok.

Any useful hints or links?

SFTP does not appear to be a standard package in DDWRT.

You can use Entware to install additional packages.

Seems to be an issue for at least 8 years, and the option for FTPS or SFTP should be standard.

Why should it be standard as you can easily add it your self?

Incorporating it adds to the footprint meaning that other packages have to be removed.

Seeing the recent security problems with SSH, the beter option is perhaps to use WireGuard to connect from outside.

if the dd-wrt implementation worked reliably, it might be an alternative.

I constantly had problems with it and always had to press apply in the "tunnel" tab after changing any settings in the GUI.

SFTP is supported by dropbear on devices with *ssl package support. I'm not going to dig up the commits.

LOL maybe "easily" for you.
I'm just a user who would like to have a checkbox to enable FTPS. And in my opinion its a basic Option.
I would spend hours over hours to make it work.

I was talking about Entware.

Wireguard is easy to install, but nevertheless too much workaround for making a simple FTP-Service a little bit secure. And there are a few automation processes, connecting to FTP when the process is ready, so I would have to automate the wireguard connection too.
Wireguard or Entware would be other possible points of failure, only because there is no FTPS or SFTP?

I like to keep it simple, so the only solution for me is FTPS.

My old FritzBox is doing FTPS since .... and has to go on now a little bit longer.
