Update method: WebUpgrade
File/Kernel: asus_rt-ac87u-firmware.trx_r55416 std / Linux 4.4.302-st49 #11241 SMP Tue Mar 19 05:06:37 +06 2024 armv7l
Previous/Reset: r55363 / no
Mode/Status: Gateway / Up and running for 3:17 hours
CPU Temperature: CPU 63.6 °C / WL0 40.5 °C / WL1 0.0 °C (ambient temperature 17.0 °C)
Issues/Errors: Nothing significant
As always, the Quantenna chip has its own quirks. This is a closed source chipset
There is no way to install a channel.
But you can disable 5.0 GHz. @mpgalaxy hack "If you set the radio mode to station bridge and disable the network mode, the 5GHz device will turn off completely even after reboot."
The fact is that the router is connected to the Internet (to the Internet provider). And it reports an error, the red WAN indicator flashes (the icon in the form of a planet). The internet works, I just think it's a glitch.
But this does not affect the work.
Just relax
CPU temperature is not displayed correctly.
CPU temperature readings started changing after one second from 63.6 - 64.1 °C
Thank you BS and gurus! _________________ Atheros

Issues: I am only using this as a gateway and am 100% new to ddwrt and the router scene. There may be underlying issues I don't know of and I don't feel I have it installed 100% correct but it's working good.
Web flash doesn't work through gui.
using mtd commands doesn't seem to flash the partitions. It seemed to worked on the much older (2017) build but seems to have lost function. Posibly user error.

Because you are using the WRONG FILE. EA6300 with FCCID containing EA6400 is to use the EA6300 firmware images. The other EA6300 uses the EA6350 images. This is well-documented. _________________ "Life is but a fleeting moment, a vapor that vanishes quickly; All is vanity"

I would like to install this release on my recently acquired Netgear R6400v2, but to be honest, I have not seen anyone with this router reply to any new build threads in quite a while. It could be a crap shoot, considering the issues with the EA8500 (I know very well the differences between Atheros and Broadcom). I also am aware this is not running a k6.1 build, but nonetheless, a bit worrisome as builds of late have been a bit chaotic, to say the least (especially on Atheros). It is presently running r53562 quite well and is only used as a 2.4ghz VAP for three vlans (well four, if you count vlan1). While de-bricking a R6400v2 is pretty straight forward, I just don't want to have to do it and have half of my Home Automation go down while repairing it. I can always turn 2.4G back on, on my EA8500 but I'd rather not because it's shitty.
So, has anyone installed any recent builds on the R6400v2? _________________ - Linksys EA8500: I-Gateway, AP/VAP 5ghz only r57753: Features: WDS-AP, VLANs, Samba, WG, Entware

Thanks @egc Great news. I will wait for the next build then try it out.
Also, I am very interested in your build project you posted but the wikis link is not working. I did get as far as the DDWRT Community Build. Would love to try building my own for this R6400v2. I already have the DDWRT v4.4 kernel source as I once was building kmodules for a R6250 I once had. I also have the full router source as I tried many times unsuccessfully to build for the EA8500. The kernel builds fine (both 4.9 and 6.1), but that's about as far as I have gotten with it (with the exception of kmodules). _________________ - Linksys EA8500: I-Gateway, AP/VAP 5ghz only r57753: Features: WDS-AP, VLANs, Samba, WG, Entware

I installed this last night on my R6400 v2 and it seems fine. I have the R6400v2 that uses the r6400v2otp file.

Previous/Reset: R55262 (I think) No reset
Mode/Status: Using it as my main router with 2.4 and 5ghz enabled. Everything seems fine
Issues/Errors: A while back I mentioned getting a bunch of TX errors on 5ghz and I am starting to think its because of the Intel AC3160 card in one of my old laptops. No other device ends up causing errors besides this one. So far everything seems fine.
