Router/Version: Asus RT-AC87U R
Update method: WebUpgrade
File/Kernel: asus_rt-ac87u-firmware.trx_r55262 std / Linux 4.4.302-st49 #11136 SMP Sun Mar 3 05:20:05 +06 2024 armv7l
Previous/Reset: r55209 / no
Mode/Status: Gateway / Up and running for 3:36 hours
CPU Temperature: CPU 65.8 °C / WL0 40.5 °C / WL1 0.0 °C (ambient temperature 17.0 °C)
Issues/Errors: Nothing significant
As always, the Quantenna chip has its own quirks. This is a closed source chipset
There is no way to install a channel.
But you can disable 5.0 GHz. @mpgalaxy hack "If you set the radio mode to station bridge and disable the network mode, the 5GHz device will turn off completely even after reboot."
The fact is that the router is connected to the Internet (to the Internet provider). And it reports an error, the red WAN indicator flashes (the icon in the form of a planet). The internet works, I just think it's a glitch.
But this does not affect the work.
Just relax
CPU temperature is not displayed correctly.
CPU temperature readings started changing after one second from 65.2 - 65.8 °C
Thank you BS and gurus! _________________ Atheros

Summary
Finally, a good 55xxx build for Asus RT-N18U!!
ksmbd did NOT stall. Judging from the output of the site_survey command and my improved Awk scanner script, wifi sensitivity had improved a little bit. The noise column of the site_survey command was fluctuating, not unchanged. The RSSI column had values a little bit bigger.
Thank you various developers!
NO strangeless after first firmware reboot. On second reboot, DD-WRT again locked down itself.
Nothing to complain about after cold boot.

LAN speed was fine. But wireless upload speed was really slow.

Though ksmbd didn't stall nor crash as in previous 55xxx builds, the first connection from the Win 10 PC to ksmbd always failed. On second attempt, it worked. This might affect mobile devices.
I haven't tried always restarting ksmbd at least once after init.
Update:
If I manually stopped then started samab3/ksmbd, there was no *first* connection issue. I haven't tried powering off Win 10 PC.... _________________ Router: Asus RT-N18U (rev. A1)
