Router: Linksys WRT1900ACSv2
Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r55209 std (02/27/24) from r55179.
Kernel: Linux 6.1.79 #309 SMP Tue Feb 27 03:38:56 +07 2024 armv7l
Reset: No.
Mode/Status: Ignore WAN DNS; SFE disabled; Use dnsmasq for DNS; DHCP-Authoritative; SmartDNS Resolve.
Wi-Fi: wlan0 - AP,AC/N-Mix,VHT80; wlan1 - AP,N-Only,HT40. Support 802.11r,v,k Band-Steering.
USB Storage Support: --- /dev/sda - Block device, size 931.5 GiB,Ext4 ; --- /dev/sdb - Block device, size 931.5 GiB, Ext4.
NAS: Samba Protocol 2.10\3.11; NFS Server - Enable; Transmission is Disabled, but... I run it at startup with the command "/usr/bin/transmission --config-dir /jffs/Share/Torrents" because the standard interface does not support the "watch-dir" option from the settings.json file. If you register this option manually and enable Transmission, then the settings file.json will be "corrupted" by default settings, but "watch-dir" will be deleted.
Issues/Errors:
When copying large files from the SMB server to the Win10 client, the router restarts. Earlier, I reported that changing the name of the working group helped me. However, in fact, this is an incomplete crutch; files are copied faster over the network, but router reboots still remain.
At the end of the work, the log is filled with messages:
Code:
...
Feb 29 12:33:37 LinkSYS kern.info kernel: [23433.181530] wait1 for release on smb2_allocate_rsp_buf
Feb 29 12:33:37 LinkSYS kern.info kernel: [23433.191046] wait1 for release on smb2_allocate_rsp_buf
Feb 29 12:33:37 LinkSYS kern.info kernel: [23433.200318] wait1 for release on smb2_allocate_rsp_buf
Feb 29 12:33:38 LinkSYS kern.info kernel: [23433.483476] wait1 for release on smb2_allocate_rsp_buf finished
Feb 29 12:33:38 LinkSYS kern.info kernel: [23433.489813] wait1 for release on smb2_allocate_rsp_buf finished
Feb 29 12:33:38 LinkSYS kern.info kernel: [23433.495871] wait1 for release on smb2_allocate_rsp_buf finished

And addition: In Dnsmasq - Additional Options, I add the option "add-hosts=/jffs/mybadhost". There are several hosts in this file that I want to exclude. When the router starts, this file is not picked up automatically. In order for it to start working, I have to add the command "stop service dnsmasq && startservice dnsmasq" in "Commands-->Startup".

Excuse me, because I cannot see that my submit succeed.

I have a question, I found my router IP sometimes connect a strange public IP.
If my public router IP is 2.3.4.5, and the destination is 9.8.7.6, how to write a command to forbid this automatically but randoms connection by command ? That is TCP and for http and https.

Thank you.

Router - Linksys WRT1900ACS V1 and V2
Firmware - DD-WRT v3.0-r55209 std (02/27/24) from r53633
Kernel - Linux 6.1.79 #309 SMP Tue Feb 27 03:38:56 +07 2024 armv7l
Reset - Yes; manually reconfigured
Mode/Status - router. WAN disabled; dnsmasq disabled; 2.4GHz and 5GHz radios enabled with WPA2 personal AES; USB enabled with printer and storage support enabled. SAMBA server enabled with 2.02-3.11 selected, no encryption; SSH and telnet enabled. All else disabled. Using it as an access point and file server. USB drive attached with partitions formatted in FAT32 (for data) and EXT2 (for /opt and /jffs). Also tried exFAT and EXT4.
Issues/Errors: Router crashes and reboots on SMB file transfer (33KB JPEG file)

These are the same issues as the prior release. I have experimented with 54682 based on forum advice and that version did allow for successful transfers only to EXT2 or EXT4 partitions on the USB drive without the router rebooting but transfers failed when trying to transfer to FAT32 or exFAT partitions from macOS 14.3.1. Seems as if releases since 54682 now are causing router to reboot with SMB file transfers. SMB transfers work fine with 53633 and the old kernel.

File: ddwrt-linksys-wrt1900ac-webflash.bin

Previous/Reset: DD-WRT v3.0-r53133 std (07/01/23) / YES
Mode/Status:

Issues:
1) This version will not install while a USB device is attached.
2) Remove USB device then install completes as expected.
3) Manually reconfigured, powered off router. Reconnected USB device. Powered on Router. Router will not boot. After several failed attempts router automatically switches to other partition. OEM F/W boots normally with USB device attached.
4) Manually switched partitions. Removed USB device R55209 boots normally.
5) Connect USB after successful boot, router immediately crashes.
6) Removed USB device. Rebooted router. Rolled back to version R53133 - all issues are gone.

....that was just weird....staying with R53133

Router/Version: Netgear/R7000
File: Both oem to ddwrt with .chk then used .bin same either way.
Previous/Reset: OEM/Yes
Mode/Status: AP/?
Issues/Errors:

As Im just switching this router over I don't know when these issues occured but I'm running a TP-Link Archer c7 v5 that doesn't have these issues with the same firmware version.

1. After changing 2.5Ghz to 40HT and saving the channel goes to auto on it's own and the channel selection only shows auto and channels 5-11. So worthless as I'm running on 4.

2. There is no WPA3.

3. There is no DT Interval setting.

Now someone point me yo the latest version that doesn't have the channel issue in #1 please.

You are posting in the wrong forum the R7000 is a Broadcom device and not Marvell

And there is a very simple solution to your problems: don't buy Broadcom devices.
