ASUS RT-AC88U external switch doesn't work properly?

This router has 8 ethernet ports. 4 is native, other 4 is some realtek switch stuff. When I plug it in, it supposedly works. But I have to use VLAN's. On VLAN section, it only shows first 4 ports, not 8. I tried both normal and experimental driver firmwares. Does anyone else also use this router? Wouldn't this create huge problems? I simply can't use the other 4 ports am I right?
