Entware is package manager so the binaries need to be made towards it...in a way...i tried to manually update some binaries in the past..but no success..the only way is to ask them to do it for you and provide you with their updated stuff...there was no step by step guide...when i tried it..i doubt there will be any....bear in mind Entware updates are synch with OpenWRT so if you need something updated you have to either wait or request on their Entware Github...better request, as they not always update everything...(lots of packages to mend)
In general this is more likely Entware subject than DDWRT...
for the record i...dont really have much experience with any stuff out from the Entware...so, there could be a short cut that im not aware of...and I would ve say, that im interested in your request too let see if anyone else with chime in ... _________________ Atheros
