Router/Version: Linksys WRT1900ACS v2
File: ddwrt-linksys-wrt1900acsv2-webflash.bin
Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r55109 std (02/09/24) (prev. DD-WRT v3.0-r55052 std (02/02/24))
Kernel: Linux 6.1.77 #289 SMP Fri Feb 9 03:56:01 +07 2024 armv7l
Mode: Gateway, SFE disabled, QoS in use, Wifi disabled, Wireguard for external access, WAN to DSL Modem, samba to access USB3-ext4 SSD, Keep Alive reboot 5:00 in the morning, using my own local NTP
Reset: No
Status: Installed today, when I try to copy anything from my Windows Machine using smb to its connected SSD, the router restarts shortly after.
SCP towards the router does work though.
Router/Version: Linksys WRT1200AC v1
File: ddwrt-linksys-wrt1200ac-webflash.bin
Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r55109 std (02/09/24) (prev. DD-WRT v3.0-r55052 std (02/02/24))
Kernel: Linux 6.1.77 #289 SMP Fri Feb 9 03:56:01 +07 2024 armv7l
Mode: Gateway, SFE disabled, Wifi disabled, WAN disabled, Wireguard Endpoint for external VPS, connected via LAN to R7800, Keep Alive reboot 6:05 in the morning, using my own local NTP
Reset: No
Status: Installed today, OK. I did a stresstest and was able to maintain ~190Mbit/s throughput over the course of 15 Minutes via Wireguard. Quite impressive.
Edit 1: I'm still getting random reboots with this version.
Edit 2: I found the couse of reboots: the internal colling fan is giving up! I checked the cpu temperature and it was at 97c. If I give a littler push (blow air) to the internal cooler it start spinning and temperature goes down to 57c, but after a boot it will not spin again unless I give another push... I added an USB fan on the slowest setting blowing air up on top of the unit. It's super silent and the current reading are very stable at: CPU 40.0 °C, DDR 30.2 °C, WLAN 32.0 °C , WLAN0 53.0 °C , WLAN1 55.0 °C
I opened the unit to see if I could replace the fan, but it's screwed from under the headsink (really bad idea IMO) and I will need to spend a long time to do it properly with a potential to disaster. Additionally all termal pads will need to be replaced to achieve this. The USB fan is not the most elegant solution, but it is easier and works!

Upgrade went well on 3200. No boot loop apparent. Will continue to monitor before further upgrading.
Thank you for your resolution to the WAN problems with the past few upgrades. _________________ Starlink & DSL -> TPLink TL-R470T+

I also wonder whether some tiny app like chrony can be added in firmware on WRT1900ACS, or can be download directly from ddwrt without extra entware, as I downloaded adguard dnsproxy. Because I do not want to compile by myself, I really found more https://github.com/mirror/dd-wrt/tree/master/src/router/chrony

This has been a problem since kernel 6.1 for me. SMB seems to somehow trigger random reboots. Currently on the last version with kernel 4.9 because of this.
Router: Linksys WRT1900ACSv2
Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r55109 std (02/09/24) from v3.0-r55052

Reset:: No.
Mode/Status: SFE disabled
Issues/Errors:
Interesting detail about SMB! I opened an SMB server on another PC, connected a Win10 client to it and... when copying a file (about 3 gigabytes) from the server to the PC, my router rebooted! Those. It’s not a fact that there’s something wrong with SMB on the router, because in my case it just acts as a switch. _________________ Linksys WRT1900ACSv2
Automatically adjustable temperature, always within the range of 59-68°С.
I routinely update my WRT32X to the latest version but for some time I have noticed that STATUS - LAN always shows my DHCP server is enabled with a scope of 192.168.0.64 - .73
In reality my DHCP server is not enabled on my lan and my pihole diagnostics confirm that my WRT32X is not offering addresses on my lan. DHCP is enabled only on my guest wifi with a different scope.
How do I lose this error in the status.
