Hi everyone,

I have an epson printer (Workforce wf-2840) connected by wifi to DIR-882 router (DD-WRT v3.0-r53939 std (11/09/23) with assigned ip through static lease (192.168.1.49, DHCP start ip address is 192.168.1.64). When i restart router and power on the printer, it's detected on my macbook only once and then disppears completely. Everytime I restart the printer it's detected again and then disappears again.

When i check directly on printer, it indicates that it's connected to the network. Also on status_lan page, i can see on DHCP clients at the bottom of the page but not always among "active clients" on top page.

Should i establish a specific route or set a firewall rule ?

I tried assigning ip directly from the printer (no dhcp) without success. Letting the printer having different ips each time i turn it on may be not pratical since printer and scanner app should be configured again with the new ip address.

Sometimes "active clients" tab shows 2 ip address for the printer:

Thanks for your help

Is the printer only configured to connect to a specific wireless interface (2.4 or 5G, not both)? You could also try setting a static IP on the printer itself, since the static lease is outside the DHCP range. There have been issues with setting static leases outside the DHCP range.
