Hello,

I need for an event max. antenna power in outdoor area.
So i am looking for a router, where i can change the max. antenna power over the regulations with dd-wrt. (Regulation is at 100mw in Austria).

I also want to connect an external antenna.

May you can give me some recommendations?

Thanks a lot

my Netgear R9000 and R7800 have best range...and power..R7800 has replaceable antenna..but R9000 not..
no idea how you wanna go over 35mvt power as internal hardware will not provide more...look for outdoor wifi ap, lots of options....

Overriding transmit power in DD-WRT is not possible. It is tied to regulatory domain and/or hard-coded limits.

For practical purposes your equipment needs transmission power to cover a big area, but also reception sensibility to copy what the closeby equipments transmit. Therefore for cases like yours, you could research for a)a router with high power and sensibility, b)external antennae, c)the possibility of placing more than one equipment to better cover the site, d)tweaking with the settings like what you suggest of moving to a different regulatory domain (however we cannot endorse you violating the laws of your country).
