Dear community

I created an account specifically to ask this question. I've read all possible documentation I could find and checked the search on multiple forums but to no avail - I would really appreciate some expert advice in how to set this up. My problem is as follows:

My ISP (t-mobile fibre) requires my WAN port to be tagged to VLAN 9 with VLAN ID 300 bridged to LAN. In FreshTomato this is an easy and straightforward GUI config on my broadcom based AC68U. However in DD-WRT it is not clear how to get to this exact configuration:

In the latest version of DD-WRT for the AC68U (15/5/23) I have looked in switch settings as well as vlan config under netowrking but the GUI settings are beyond me - I have no clue what to configure in what order to get this exact configuration replicated so I can get a public IP on my router with DD-WRT.

Would really appreciate some insight with screenshots what to set up where so I can try again!

Instead of 40 you enter 300

as you can see on my screenshot you have to make sure that VLAN300 is assigned as WAN port.

"WAN Port Assignment" in the tab "networking

OK - just flashed again and went straight into the switch settings. This is what I see and have changed according to your instruction.

I do not have the wan port assignment switch visible. Where can I find it?

A lot of people, also on the official t-mobile forum, struggle with the configuration of ddwrt for t-mobile.
Could you please post your full "guide", and/or the pictures of your settings?
If we have all this information in 1 forumpost, we could direct people to that post.
You will make a lot of people (including myself) very happy Very Happy

By the way, did you also get IPTV working?
On glassfiber this should be automatic on the same vlan if I'm correct, but just checking...

So here's what I did to get a WAN IP from T-Mobile NL Fiber after following ho1Aetoo's instructions to replicate my FreshTomato config in DD-WRT:

This is only for getting a public IP, I'm not including dhcp / dns(masq) or wifi settings. I'm using an AC68U C1.

0. Flash latest build and clear nvram - connect with lan cable and check you get a local ip from the dhcp.

1. Start in basic setup and set connection type to automatic / dhcp

1.1 I set MTU to Auto and SFE to disabled as I don't have a gigabit connection. STP to enabled.

2. Go to advanced routing and set operating mode to "Gateway", Dynamic Routing disabled. I haven't touched any of the other settings here.

3. Go to Switch Config and add a vlan configuration and enter the 300 value. Check WAN and check tagged (see screenshot)

3.1 At this point be sure to save and apply your settings before moving to the next step.

4. Go to Networking and scroll halfway down where you see "wan port assignment" - select vlan300 here (the one you created in the previous step). Save and apply settings.

5. If you care about bufferbloat go to QoS settings and set to FQ_Codel Fast and to 90% of your bandwith - I get an A+ on https://www.waveform.com/tools/bufferbloat this way. (be sure to test via cable)

6. Connect lan cable from media converter to the WAN port and reboot.

7. This works on my machine Smile Have not tested IPTV but if it works let me know.

Hope this helps!
