The fact is that the router connected to the Internet (to the Internet provider). And it reports an error, the orange WAN indicator flashes (the icon in the form of a planet). Internet is working, I just think it's a glitch

Router: Tp-Link TL-WDR3600 v 1.5
Kernel: Linux 3.10.108-d11 #132986 Mon May 15 04:32:16 +06 2023 mips
Reset: No
Mode: Internet gateway, WIFI 5GHz AP, dnsmasq, firewall
Issues: Some yellow marked events in logs. That's nothing significant
Status: Working
Uptime: more than 3 days
Device working rather good. All services are up, performance is acceptable.
Router/Version: Netgear R7800
File/Kernel: DD-WRT v3.0-r52569 std (05/15/23)
Previous/Reset: r52485, YES (and previously r47000)
Mode/Status: Gateway - PPPoE wan / 4 vlans, 4 wifi(Vanilla) interfaces per radio / 2 openvpn clients (via script), 1 server (via gui), 3 smartdns (via script)+dnsmasq for dhcp/local dns. 802.11 encapsulation offloading.
Issues/Errors: After some workarounds, seems to work well. I am seeing unstable/lower speedtests, still need to look more into that.
Several issues/errors though (which are probably not new, but they come from fresh settings):
OpenVPN configuration:
- There is no gui element for the DH PEM. However, if you set the nvram key openvpn_dh, it will save the file and add the config file entry correctly.
- There is a GUI element for the certificate revocation list only when you select GUI (rather than text) configuration. If you save it while gui option is set, the key remains set and the file is successfully written. However this should appear for either config method. The file is then not referenced in the config, so 'crl-verify /tmp/openvpn/ca.crl' needs to be added to the config.
- TA Auth is selected and the TLS file gets written, but the config option 'tls-auth /tmp/openvpn/ta.key 0' is not automatically included.
Boot is significantly (about 3-4x) slower than r47000. There is lots of stopping and restarting things. (Maybe that's the new normal (?) because later on it works.)
A bunch of messages regarding mstpd during boot:
Code:

May 19 11:10:52 ddwrt_main daemon.notice ntpclient[3390]: Network up, resolved address to hostname 212.18.3.19
(this seems to happen after the network is actually up)
I noticed that there are two 'nobody' users in /etc/passwd, which should not be permitted but also probably isn't breaking anything...
Is ethernet 802.3az EEE supposed to work? The one time I tried it seemed not to, but could have been other things with the one device I tried.
Is there an issue with setting the MTU on a bridge to less than 1500, while leaving the default MTU at 1500? In the prior build I had a bizarro problem where tcp connections would drop if you sent more than 100K at a time, only if you were on a wifi on that bridge (worked from other bridges or via ethernet even on that bridge). That's the only thing I could think of that could be related? It was nothing to do with firewalls.
Thank you to brainslayer and all the gurus!

@jtbr for PPPoE WAN interface... MTU should be less than 1500, i have 1492 with no problem..
also i can see you are running quite of a setup + pppoe that takes toll on the CPU too..you can expect a bit of a load indeed...
Also new build 52596 is out, with some optimisations, prior the build you are running...give it a try...you can also reset and manually recompile, if you haven't done it for a longer time...
Out of a blue couple of previous builds back, i was in the same state.. i haven't done reset for long long time..once i did it and manually rebuilt things are all back to normal...boot speed and running smooth..
p.s. im a bit curious about how to 802.11 encapsulation offloading..i saw it the other day, as you copycatted it from another user...but, i could't find any related info, apart of some standards and some ath11k stuff, is there a specific command for the hostapd...as those ive seen, are not quite clear to me...if they are DDWRT supported as well...?? _________________ Atheros
