Trying to use my WRT 1900 ACS with 2.4 GHz as the LAN wifi and 5 GHz as the WAN client (ie connecting to the campground wifi).

The router randomly changes the ssid on the LAN to the WAN ssid. The unit seem to “brick” every day and I need to connect via my laptop to the wired Ethernet connections.

Am I missing something obvious here. Getting tired of this and ready to give up on this. When it work it works great then randomly goes sideways fast.

Please ensure you use the right file if you are not on the current release:

New Build - 05/11/2023 - r52485 (Marvell)

https://ftp.dd-wrt.com/dd-wrtv2/downloads/betas/2023/05-11-2023-r52485/linksys-wrt1900acs/

https://ftp.dd-wrt.com/dd-wrtv2/downloads/betas/2023/05-11-2023-r52485/linksys-wrt1900acsv2/

In the wifi settings, disable wifi access to the webUI, save, reboot.

I will check the version when I get home.

I really don’t want to disable wifi access. My plan is to pretty much use this via wifi only. I forgot my thunderbolt Ethernet dongle so I can’t access the Wan port until tomorrow.

Current builds for Marvell r52459, r52485 & today r52509. See Model No. bottom of router upper-right corner only.
After verifying model and version use the correct webflash file to upgrade. Issues? Reset and reconfigure manually.

Disconnections fixed, also cleanup of antenna chains so be sure wireless advanced settings chains show 1+2+3+4.

Just got home - I flashed based on the version from the database:

Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r44715 std (11/03/20)

Will try this newer version.

After upgrading from r44715 to r52509 verify success in the webUI upper-right hand corner see the build number.
Also during upgrade ignore that drop-down option so do not reset because you want to do that only after success.
From here you can go to the factory defaults tab, wait for reboot then go about manually reconfiguring the router.
