Router/Version: Netgear R7800
File/Kernel: DD-WRT v3.0-r52485 std (05/11/23)
Previous/Reset: r47000 / no (I know, it's been a while...)
Mode/Status: Gateway - PPPoE wan / 4 vlans, 4 wifi interfaces per radio / 2 openvpn clients, 1 server; upgraded 36 hours ago
Issues/Errors: Boot is significantly slower than before.
A bunch of messages like this during boot:

Code:
Jan 1 01:00:52 ddwrt_main daemon.info mstpd[508]: error, ethtool_get_speed_duplex: Cannot get speed/duplex for wlan1.1: Not supported

also
Code:
Jan 1 01:01:14 ddwrt_main daemon.info mstpd[508]: set_if_up: Port wlan1.1 : down
Jan 1 01:01:14 ddwrt_main daemon.info mstpd[508]: error, get_hwaddr: wlan1.1: get hw address failed: No such device

Error about smartd:
Code:
May 15 15:19:31 ddwrt_main daemon.info smartd[10045]: smartd 7.3 2019-12-30 r5022 [armv7l-linux-4.9.337] (local build)

May 15 15:19:31 ddwrt_main daemon.info smartd[10045]: Opened configuration file /usr/etc/smartd.conf
May 15 15:19:31 ddwrt_main daemon.info smartd[10045]: Drive: DEVICESCAN, implied '-a' Directive on line 32 of file /usr/etc/smartd.conf
May 15 15:19:31 ddwrt_main daemon.info smartd[10045]: Configuration file /usr/etc/smartd.conf was parsed, found DEVICESCAN, scanning devices
May 15 15:19:31 ddwrt_main daemon.crit smartd[10045]: In the system's table of devices NO devices found to scan
May 15 15:19:31 ddwrt_main daemon.info smartd[10045]: Unable to monitor any SMART enabled devices. Try debug (-d) option. Exiting...

(I've only got a USB key, this may be normal)

802.3az EEE seems not to work, at least not with the one device I tried.

Things I had to do to upgrade:
- Had to clear jffs via gui and restore from backup (new jffs driver it seems)
- Had to remove script commands for vlan setup. Added vlans in switch config via howto: https://forum.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=334342. Then assigned vlans to bridges under networking. Seems to be working.
- openvpn server certificate was previously (erroneously) in openvpn_client. Needed to 'nvram unset openvpn_client' and re-add to GUI. openvpn clients seem to be working. server runs but is untested.
- Remove workaround to support smb v2, there's now a gui element for this. ksmbd seems to work, but to not be advertised via the network.

Can't comment on stability quite yet. Throughput seems good.

When you have time or next time after successful upgrade please reset, factory defaults or nvram erase && reboot.
