I flashed DD-WRT to my Netgear Nighthawk R7000P router and out of the blue it started disconnecting my W-Fi. I flashed both the .CHK and .BIN files without error. Reset the router to no avail. Unfortunately, I had to restore the crappy Netgear firmware because this is my only router. Power supply is working fine. Any thoughts, tips ideas?

Thanks!!

I was using the wrong version. I downloaded v3 build 44715.

Newbie mistake. I will try flash again later.

Thank you all!

Do not forget to reset *after* update and setup manually.

if it still happens after a clean install try setting Key Renewal Interval to 86400 for the main 5 GHz.

that is if that's where the disconnects are occurring.

I have an unbridged VAP on 5 GHz that doesn't have disconnect issues so I leave that alone

You guys rock! Very Happy I've been in the tech industry since the mid-90s and have joined forums in the past, with most 99% providing unhelpful info or a snub. I successfully flashed DD-WRT v3.0-r52369 (04/20/23) to my Netgear R7000P. Thank you! Still working some tweaks though, will post more later. Very Happy
