I just logged into my account to reactive a freedns.afraid.org account I had deactivated for a few days and it's just gone. It's not even in the list when you go to "add new service."
Here's what it used to look like:
And a screenshot I just took:
Anyone have any info? I sent OpenDNS an email but no reply yet.
Did you try clicking "expand all"? _________________ "The woods are lovely, dark and deep,

The only two I had in there were freedns.afraid.org accounts and both are gone. I didn't delete them.
I tried to re-add and it's not even in the list anymore.
In fact without even changing anything, I confirmed it in the DDNS section of DD-WRT.
I don't know when it started exactly, but I had a huge log window saying this. Never seen it before. That's why I'm asking on these forums as a last resort.
If you go to "Your Service" on DNS-O-MATIC's site, right click and view source code, you can see afraid.org isn't in the list.
I can't seem to find any announcement that DNS-O-MATIC dropped support for freedns.afraid.org. How peculiar. _________________ "The woods are lovely, dark and deep,

If you look at this old video from 11 years ago, the list looks very different than it does today. I never kept track of who dns-o-matic has added and dropped over the years, but sometime within the last 3 days, afraid.org is not in the list for me and both of my entries are deleted.
It could be an error or a bug which is why I emailed them, but I'm hoping someone can check their account and let me know if it's still on their list or not.
^^^^ This could make sense if the choices on DNS-O-MATIC were populated via script that checks availability of supported services...

Neither can I. Maybe you can just make an account and look right now?
I'm sure the news would be posted somewhere where an account is not required. It's a shame that nobody else that has a DNS-O-MATIC account is willing to comment or participate in this quest. _________________ "The woods are lovely, dark and deep,

Thank you for confirming, and thank you for the alternative method.
Some of my dd-wrt routers (with 8mb flash) do not support curl command. The binary itself is nowhere to be found in "/usr/bin". You should try the above command with SSH/putty first to make sure it works.
Does anyone know a bash script that runs the CURL command above every so often?
Afraid.org is still not on the dns-o-matic list and I don't think it's coming back so I need an alternative way to run those manual URLs for my domains.
I run a few Debian Linux terminals 24/7 so it wouldn't be a problem adding it in one of them, or perhaps a way to permanently add it right in DDWRT that will work even on reboot? I don't have JFFS enabled. I'm not skilled enough to know the best place to do it which is why I was using DNS-O-MATIC as my DDNS entry in DDWRT in the first place.
Why not use another supported provider, there are plenty available for free
I like my domains with freedns.afraid.org and have been using them for years. Years and years.
I don't think there's a good reason why DNS-O-MATIC removed them from their supported list, and the fact that I didn't even get a reply to my email about it tells me something shady is going on over there.
I, and I bet others, would just like a little help for an alternative.

I lost all my afraid.org info on Dnsomatic also. Has anyone tried the steps in the link in the previous post using the jffs to update multiple ddns services?
Seems a little complicated.
Not a total noob messing with router config but don't want to mess something up.
BTW, I've emailed them too (Dnsomatic)(twice now) and never got anything other than an autoreply back.
