Update 5/13/23 - I had to fall back to 51937 shortly after my 4/26 update after experiencing disconnects and/or problems connecting.
Update: 4/26/23 - This release has been running great for me the last ~4 days since disabling 802.11r FT.

Similar wifi connection hang on my 3200ACM as I have been seeing on various releases post-r51937. My iphone and macbook were both connected to the 5ghz radio on the 3200 about 3 feet away. Both stopped passing data at the same time. I had a ping running on the macbook and noticed it stop pinging the router. My wife's iphone had roamed onto the router for a few minutes prior and then roamed away, and this is exactly when the pings started timing out on my macbook. I pulled up a browser on my iphone (which was just sitting on the desk asleep) and couldn't get to the internet. Turned off the wifi on my iphone and my macbook started pinging again. Turned on the wifi on my iphone and it connected again. No messages in dmesg or the logs other than the devices reconnecting to wifi. I'll probably go back to 51937 (3/05/23) which was prior to the new mwlwifi (see https://forum.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=334152.)

Router Model & Version: Linksys 3200ACM and 1900ACSv1
Firmware: 52369 (04/20/23)
Previous: 51937 (03/05/23)
Reset: No
Mode: AP / Gateway (3200ACM), Router
Uptime: 3 hours
Status: Performance is great when the wifi connection is working
Issues/Errors: When several devices go to sleep or roam in/out of the range of the route, wifi stays connected but traffic just freezes on multiple device until wifi is turned off on one of the affected devices
Environment: 5gh radio: AC/N mixed, Wide HT40, channel 44U, beacon 100, dtim 2, WPA2-personal AES, WPA strict rekey on, 802.11r on

syslog:

ca:cf:38:49:8a:40 - my wife's iphone roaming around prior to outage
5a:3b:c6:54:15:8d - my iphone
f0:18:98:6a:3d:e1 - my macbook

09:53:14 - wife's iphone roams away - I can confirm that this is the exact second my latop stopped pinging.
09:54:55 - turned off wifi on my iphone
09:54:57 - macbook starts pinging again

Router Model Linksys WRT1900ACS v2
Firmware Version DD-WRT v3.0-r52369 std (04/20/23)
Kernel Version Linux 4.9.337 #3757 SMP Thu Apr 20 01:10:00 +07 2023 armv7l
Current Time Sun, 23 Apr 2023 21:50:24
Uptime 13 min

update-browser waterfox, I switched from partion 1, linksys firmware
connection Type PPPoE - IPv6 Type DHCPv6 with Prefix Delegation 1Gbps
IPv6 Type DHCPv6 with Prefix Delegation-On - Ok
Operating Mode Gateway/AP
Shortcut Forwarding Engine-On
Schedule Reboot-On,
Web Access Protocol - HTTPS,
SSH (public key)-ok
Validate DNS Replies (DNSSEC)-ok
Port Forwarding - Ok,
USB - System Log -Ok
Schedule Reboot - At a Set Time - On

After configuring the settings, I rebooted the router every time!

Wireless Interface 5GHz-Wireless Mode AP-Wireless Network Mode-AC, Width VHT 80 Mhz-Wireless Channel-36,Extension Channel UU, Short GI, Short Preamble, Single User Beamforming, Radio Scheduling, 30TX Power-30dBm ,TX Antenna Chains-1+2+3+4, RX Antenna Chains-1+2+3+4, Enable-WPA2 Personal-CCMP-128 (AES), Regulatory Domain Romania, all-ok

Wireless Interface 2.4GHz-Wireless Mode AP-Wireless Network Mode-N, Width VHT 40 Mhz-Wireless Channel-9, Extension Channel Lower, Short Preamble, Short GI, Radio Scheduling,TX Power-30dBm ,TX Antenna Chains-1+2+3+4, RX Antenna Chains-1+2+3+4 Enable-WPA2 Personal-CCMP-128 (AES) all-ok!

I see that this problem still persists, no one took it into account, after switching from linksys firmware to ddwrt, the router no longer knows how to switch to ddwrt, only after pressing the power button it returns to normal
hello, try this in your custom config
thanks for the suggestion. I already had ap_max_inactivity=600 in my custom config. Increasing it to 3600 didn't help. However turning off 802.11r FT on my routers did fix the problem - no wifi freezes in 1+ days. I'm not sure how much good 802.11r was doing me anyways - probably best to leave it off.

WIFI has been excellent the last day or so. I noticed a 2018 Samsung TV that didn't like marvel wifi - using mac address blacklisting to push it to choose a netgear 7800 fixed that problem - not sure if this existed on r51937 and before or not.

Router/Version: WRT1900AC v1
File/Kernel: DD-WRT v3.0-r52369 std (04/20/23)
Previous/Reset: DD-WRT v3.0-r52306 std (04/11/23). No reset this time.
Mode/Status: Gateway (SFE enabled), Access Point, IPV6 (DHCP6 w/ prefix delegation), Entware, DOT via SmartDNS/DNSMasq, OpenVPN server, Wireguard Server
Issues/Errors:
Up 5 days. Wireless and wired speeds are as expected. OpenVPN and Wireguard both working normally. The issue I reported on the last build turned out not to be WiFi related at all, it was Bluetooth.

In case, this problem is happening more a year! Many users also report this issue. However, no body tried to fix it!

I have added 1043ndv2 to share a wifi. It can connect the dhcp server.

I confirmed that it does not relate Ack timing and wmm support!

Please consider this issues immediately!

Thanks!

what does this message mean exactly? Is this a crash message from the physical WLAN interface? I have this several times a day.

From the times it looks to me as if that happens when a participant becomes active.

Dear kosmos

This bug also usually is happening on Open-WRT WRT32X and WRT3200ACM

In DD-WRT of View, mobile devices do not include this issue but some smart home device is affected such as smart plug and smart light etc.

After that, I was using other router device and switch wifi router to connect the device. It can be connected successful.

Dear DD-WRT

The other bugs are wan type connection about PPTP and PPTP Server.

Wan Type Connection about PPTP
It causes router breaking in WRT32X. Reset function did not work. It needs a long time (hourly). The router would resume the default mode automatically.

PPTP Server
Instagram, facebook and youtube could not load the picture and video smoothly! Especially, android user. That is not security issue. Please fix it immediately!
