I don't recommend reusing a backup config from an older build. I would save the all the GUI configuration pages by printing to PDF; Load build 52330, then nvram erase && reboot. Now manually config the router from the PDF backup. Don't be lazy, well that is what I tell myself when I have problems with a new build.
I did not say load an old backup, but to make one along with a copy of nvram show and then manuallyreconfigure.
This has been repeated in build threadssinceSwitchConfigoverhaul so this is nothing new or to be misunderstood.
Yes, saving copies of webUI pages or PDF are more helpful than screenshots with no way to highlight select or copy.
Keep in mind PDF may truncate fields with really long strings. "Save Page As" may not look pretty but it's complete.
I've had some complains about TV PVR playback and some broken recording for the last couple of weeks. I've just swapped out the E3000 for a R7000 with build r52330. I will post back... _________________ Home Network on Telus 1Gb PureFibre - 10GbE Copper Backbone

@baboeska is your USB interface visible/selectable, at basic set up page or at the network set up page, where you can adjust WAN interfaces...
The thing that it is created, but not used points me to, you either have to selected it via GUI..or
use start up commands to set it as a WAN...(you may even need to do some other bits, like give it a DHCPd)
Im not really into this type of a WAN use via USB at all, there are other forum members that could help you, much better than me, i've sent you a PM that you never opened...but here is what i pointed you...
Hi Alozaros,
I have n't gottent o my messages yet.
Yeah start up commands to define wan adaptor etc would be what to look into.
I don't know where to look for that.
Or figure out what udhcpc -i usb0 used to do, vs what it does now, and get the old behavior back somehow.
USB is no issue, clearly according to that log, the android device is assigning a local IP to the usb0 after one is asked for, it's just not sticking.
In "Services" > "USB" I have USB enabled, but not USB storage, and I load the relevant kernel mods as per the wiki guide that is no longer quite working since r51140, and may not work with ncm.
The kernel modules required are loading just fine. Re ncm, I don't know anything about ncm yet, the actual phone is a cheap nokia 4g android.
WAN over usb in this use case is a byproduct of affordable 4g mobile data plans and wanting an ethernet and good quality wifi connections. I'm totally aware the same thing can be done with a pi, albeit with another power adaptor and network cable.
Re the USB C to Ethernet adaptor idea, I wonder about charging the phone at the same time.
With 64mbs room for entware, I don't miss usb storage too much.
https://forum.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=277739 seems interesting and incomplete, but an effort is being made re ncm.
Other R7000 users show no issues, speeds are fine, so backup old config, save copy of nvram show and start over.
r52095 this is before Broadcom Switch Config received upgrades also since then wireless channel changes or fixes.
So maybe you can make enough changes to fix your existing config but I would start over fresh this is guaranteed.
I tried this build yesterday on an R7000 and Asus Ac68U as AP. Took a long time to start after reboot, sluggish GUI and slow internet speed. Reverted to r52306 and things returned to normal. _________________ Netgear R7000 on Build 55109

Previous/Reset: r52242 / no
Mode/Status: Gateway / Up and running for 2:19 hours
Issues/Errors: Nothing significant
As always, the Quantenna chip has its own characteristics.
Can't set channel. You cannot disable 5.0 GHz.
Solution via radio time limit menu.
Errors in wireless RX packets.
The fact is that the router connected to the Internet (to the Internet provider). And it reports an error, the red WAN indicator flashes (the icon in the form of a planet). Internet is working, I just think it's a glitch. _________________ Atheros

No, I did not this time. However I did a few weeks ago. I usually do this infrequently since I have found it's normally not necessary _________________ Netgear R7000 on Build 55109

This is great! I have R7000 no issues, sir egc has RT-AC68U, so where are settings or steps to reproduce? Logs?
No need for sarcasm! I obviously checked the syslog but did not find anything I haven't seen before. This build did not work well for me however, and reverting to the previous build mitigated the problem.
Considering the multiple ways you can setup and configure it's not so strange that this type of issues can occur. Having the attitude that 'it works for me so obviously there is not a problem' is not productive.
I'm have a fairly standard setup incl. port forwarding, smartdns, wireguard and a usb-disk. I also use the Asus as an AP to extend range. _________________ Netgear R7000 on Build 55109

It is not the attitude but the lack of settings or steps to reproduce, which I do not blame you this is very common.
twindragon6 did upload settings and logs, since his R7000 is highlycustomized may not reflect standard behavior.

I've been using this build for a while and it is Performing Well on the R7800s & R7000s. I marked r52330 as a Good Build to fall back to, with working VLAN GUI on both Netgear Routers.
