Router Model: Linksys EA6900 (XVortex CFE)
Firmware Version: DD-WRT v3.0-r52189M Community Build (03/28/23)
Kernel Version: Linux 4.4.302-st38 #1 SMP Tue Mar 28 12:30:20 CEST 2023 armv7l
Upgraded from DD-WRT v3.0-r52095M Community Build (03/23/23) via telnet (update via GUI not possible because nvram is placed on linux partition and not linux2 partition due to Xvortex CFE)
Reset: No not this time.
Configuration: Default gateway mode, 2,4GHz wireless running with unbridged VAP, 5GHz running, some static leases and some port range forwarding.
WireGuard client running with PBR.
OpenVPN client with PBR running.
IPv6 working.
NAS and ksmbd working.
NVRAM size 47K (NVRAM size should not be a problem with the Xvortex CFE)
Initially I upgraded without doing a reset. That failed because the Switch Config was disabled initially after upgrade; The GUI did a few strange things, which I did not capture in the upgrade without reset attempt...I just thought I would mention it. After enabling Vlans on the Switch Config page and applying, I could no longer access the router.
I used the CFE mini browser to do an nvram clear and reboot. And started configuring everything by hand; the first thing I did was mess with the Switch Config tab...And I saw some dynamic stuff happen...
The Switch Config page confused me, as it kept changing while attempting to work with it. It was disabled but visible, then enabled & Visible...I had to disable it, reboot & enable to "restore" it. See attached screen captures of the various GUI states. NOTE: the attchments do not show my vlan config, just the dyanmic
NOTE: The GUI Port numbering seems to have "reversed" 1 2 3 4 matches physical ports 4 3 2 1. I have not test if my "restored" vlans actually results in isolation. I was just happy to have a working router again. I will test it later.

DNSMasq
Port Forwarding

DNSSEC
SFE -- Disabled
Errors:
1. enabling VLANs (broadcom) causes lots of problems and router can stop responding to network traffic
during debugging I had to reflash/tftp via serial
*currently disabled VLANs* but will try again in future.
you have to set the valns like in the first screenshot then it works...
I am not sure if you took a look at the screen captures. After first reboot, the Switch Config page does not have a CPUPORT column. Without the CPUPORT column, it would be hard to make it look like the last screen capture (I assume you mean manaully use nvram to get the Switch Config to look like the last screen capture, with the CPUPORT column).
