r9000
no reset
previous- 51935

Errors - 5GHz Channel list is missing channels, setting changed to auto because of lack of selected 149 in list- reg domain = UNited States, this is only after initial flash. Once you select a visible channel, apply and go back the missing channels are now visisble and selectable.

Vanilla being used, Inadyn, smb, QOS, DNSMasq WDS AP (5Ghz), AP 2.4Ghz
All good after fixing channel

r7800
WDS STA (5GHz), VAP 5GHz, Ap2.4GHz
Errors - broken since 51589, the VAP on the 5GHz interface while primary in is in WDS sta mode does not operate, Radio is listed as active has correct ssid, is even able to detect proper signal power, but never assigns channel and rate is listed as auto. Firmware type does not matter. The Same interface does properly connect and create the WDS link, Just the VAP doesnt work. PAcket counters in status for int 0.1 do not increase from 0

The RX/TX packets from VAPs only start counting when a client connects and this has been the case for a very very long time.

@ho1Aetoo

it's broken, no client is able to even see the SSID and the channel should be assigned. No client can connect, the counters just show no client is connected. All my in range clients are connecting to the 2.4 and cant see the 5 becuase its not transmitting the vap.

the radio itself hardware wise is working because its connecting wlan0 back over wds and bridging is working cause my 2.4 GHz clients can get outbound to the WDS AP gateway on the 9K. I just cant get this VAP working. If i revert back to last working version, the vap comes right up with channel assigned and nearly every device in range connects on 5Ghz Vap, with no change to settings

Yes I know, as far as I know there is also a ticket and you have sent your nvram backup to BS?

I can not say anything more because I do not use WDS and my VAPs work.

Update method: SSH / CLI using PuTTY
Router/Version: Netgear R9000 Nighthawk X10
File/Kernel: DD-WRT v3.0-r52004 std (03/13/23)
Previous/Reset: DD-WRT v3.0-r51937 std (03/05/23) / No
Mode/Status: Gateway / Working Normally
Issues/Errors: None

Note: Updated from 51937 to 52004 and had no issues with settings migrating. Also, giving the DD-WRT wireless firmware a try to see how it behaves. So far, no issues.

@mlandi, if you were using one of the channels that didnt disapeer you were probably fine, i was using 149, that one wasnt in list. But once i saved one that was, applied, the list rebuilt and i was able to select 149 again. so it seems to be easy to fix if it happens.
