Just sent an email to BrainSlayer. There was probably a reason why these images did not compile / build. Nothing new, it happens. Please consider reporting after flashing and testing in the future. Router Model: Linksys E2000 (converted N320)
Firmware Version: DD-WRT v3.0-r51937 mega (03/05/23)
Kernel Version: Linux 4.4.302-st37 #22129 Sun Mar 5 06:17:35 +06 2023 mips
Upgraded: from DD-WRT v3.0-r50963 mega (11/28/22)
Reset: No not this time
Status: Up and running for 8 hours, basic setup as Gateway, static leases, , Wifi 2,4GHz working.
WireGuard Client working with PBR to Keepsolid.
WireGuard Server working.
The script looks for nvram entries which are empty e.g. nothing behind =
Note if you are using WireGuard you need the updated script otherwise the WireGuard keys are removed (those keys end always with =)
I am also using Netgear R7000 as member twindragon6. Looking in the Router status page, I see
Code:
NVRAM 28 KiB / 64 KiB
So I suppose I don't have any pressure on NVRAM. I suppose this should be the same for twindragon6. Would running the NVRAM cleanup script a "nice-to-have" health maintenance of the router?
I don't use WireGuard. But got curious after reading your answer. So I made a quick read of the DDRWT Wiki, Wireguard page. Sorry for the novice question. If the end goal is to make your DDWRT router as a Wireguard server. But would you need a VPN service provider? The Wiki page doesn't list this as a pre-requisite.

Maybe @twindragon can answer what he sees as the use case for removing unused keys.

Router/Version: Linksys XAC1900 pretending to be an EA6900 File/Kernel: r51937 Previous/Reset: Stock firmware, fully reset Mode/Status: Router, small nas, 5ghz wifi Issues/Errors: No majors, however, had to manually set tx power for 5ghz to 30mw, auto had a very very weak 5ghz signal, performance good after enabling CTF+FA. 2.4ghz untested, very weak signal a while back different firmware. Also reinstalled 32kb nvram bug fix startup command, nvram at 26kb :/.
Seems good enough to keep up with Quest 2 headset for 5ghz, thank you.
