Hi,

I've been googling a lot, just curious.

I don't watch TV, but my ISP is blocking IPTV through wifi.
It's working perfectly fine over ethernet.

Is it possible to bridge one of the ethernet interfaces with wireless 2.4GHz ?
All my devices are connected to 5Ghz.

I've been using dd-wrt for a week with a Netgear R7000, it's awesome.
Not a network expert but it's an interesting experiment.

Which probably means you're using 44715 and not anything more current. If IPTV uses multicast, there are certain configuration considerations to possibly test, but it is best to be on the current release before proceeding. This may require a reset and re-configure from scratch.

hey, thanks for answering so quickly
I updated the router today with the latest firmware, back to Netgear stock firmware, and dd-wrt 51887 from scratch

+ details :
- I'm using the Netgear router instead of the ISP box, connected via WAN port VLAN 100
- Everything works perfectly fine
- IPTV is OK through ethernet
- There's a PIHole on the network but it shouldn't mess things up
- the IPTV box is connected to 2.4GHz wifi
- It has access to the internet, apps are working, but no IPTV
- When I run channels detection if finds 309 channels, so there's a connection somewhere
- other devices on 5GHz

Does your ISP require a different VLAN for IPTV?

Then you have to map a separate VLAN on your WAN to the wifi interface or something of that nature, otherwise IPTV will not work. The easiest solution is to map it to an ethernet port, then add a separate AP device to that port or use wired from router to TV.

An IPTV station uses around 15Mbit/s bandwidth, while Multicast is sent at 6Mbit/s over wifi. You can correct that by enabling "Multicast over Unicast" in the wifi options.

Can i map a VLAN to WL0 or WL1 from dd-wrt web interface ?
I don't mind sacrificing WL0 2.4GHz wifi for IPTV test.
It's working with ethernet, just want to know if the Android TV box can be tricked over wifi Smile
I messed around after reading this page but no luck.
https://wiki.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Setting_up_IPTV_without_impact_to_LAN_and_Wireless_traffic
If it's not possible i'll unplug the machine and put it back in its box !
Thanks
