Reset: Yes
Mode: Internet gateway, WIFI AP 5GHz, dnsmasq server, firewall
Errors: Device stop respond after put own configuration in Setup -> Switch config tab
Status: router won't respond
Device won't working after made own configuration in setup -> switch config tab. GUI, SSH, wire and internet connections are unavailable. After restart by button on case router have correct IP. Can't ping. It's "PING: transmit failed, general failure". I don't know what provoke problems. I'm back to r51589 build and all functions working good. That's last stable build for my router model.
maybe is fixed for you in the next release.
BS has fixed a "switch config" bug I found on the R7800.
The "switch config" tab now works on the R7800 if you configure everything correctly even in the network settings.

I have only tried configuring my R8000 because of this known issue. I had same results on that router when playing with it, where the WAN port would not pass traffic through it. There are slight differences with the default VLANs on the R8000, but anyone know if this bug fix will extend to the R8000 as well? Or are my problems with the R8000 something completely different? I tried to understand the change log, but not fully grasping it. I am going to check it out myself soon, but anyone know if this relates at all?

Wrong forum, this is the Atheros forum and not the Broadcom forum and...
I haven't found a post where you wrote anything about an R8000 so no idea what problems you are having.
Was only asking if this fix extended to other models or was model specific. I shouldn't have mentioned the R8000 in the question, seems to have confused things. Plan to spend some time on the Broadcom router soon to see if the issues are still present with the newer version before I report it, but put simply, no IP from ISP on the WAN port after changing VLAN settings. Nothing complex, just changing the VLANs causes it to stop passing traffic through the WAN port.
I'm pretty sure it's not related since there are differences in the default CFGs and since it's Broadcom, probably has something specific to with that chipset. Keep you posted on my findings in the proper forum.

Back in the Kong days on Kong builds R7800 switch tab was working, than there ware some BS changes over it and than, it went banana...however start up commands work as intended...as always...
Same for Broadcom, as now both are using swconfig command
In terms of the Broadcom case (R7000 the one i have), switch tab always has been working...on mine
R8000 is also Broadcom, same CPU as R7000, but has an extra 5Ghz radio, may be this is the source of the issue...or you are doing something wrong... _________________ Atheros

@CR_Apollo swconfig fixes dual cpu port, two-armed models. R7000 & R8000 BCM4709A0 vlan single sw_cpuport.
However free to try if this fixes your northstar problem r51954r51955, but I'd wait for another build after r51976.
Issues: findfs applet missing in BusyBox 1.36.0
Last build available: r51787 - 2/20/23
Simplifies mounting by label/UUID at boot.
Work-around: blkid is available, prefer findfs
as you are running USB disk already, you can always install it via Entware.. _________________ Atheros

Yeah but there's a small, yet critical problem with that: I need to know the UUID of my USB flash disk in order to be able to mount it and then start entware. Without entware I can't get findfs and without findfs I can't to entware _________________ 1x Netgear R7800 (latest); 3x Netgear R7000 (latest); 2x Asus RT-N16 (v3.0-r47656); 2x Fonera 2100 (v3.0-r45454).

UUID will be inside the USB section of the GUI, to use Entware you'd need to make an OPT partition named OPT and than you can use the auto-mount option and partition named opt will be auto-mounted to opt..
if you have multi partitioned disk than it still the same...those named jffs or opt will be auto mounted ... _________________ Atheros

I gave up using the GUI to mount partitions a LONG time ago because it is a mess. Most of the time (except for opt and jffs) partitions get mounted to random paths breaking things. Until someone fixes the mess they've made out of it I won't risk using that GUI again.
I've suggested, multiple times, that the only way for mounts to work properly is let the user manually assign mount points (/mnt/xxx) to volume GUIDs. (A similar UI to the "Static Leases" but for mounts). _________________ 1x Netgear R7800 (latest); 3x Netgear R7000 (latest); 2x Asus RT-N16 (v3.0-r47656); 2x Fonera 2100 (v3.0-r45454).

If you are interested there are solutions for mounting partions. These are from @eibgrad.
Holding onto old practices after past issues were resolved is pointless. Seems to be the norm around here, though. _________________ "The woods are lovely, dark and deep,
