hi

Having a constant issue with wifi work. The wifi seems working, but sometimes the signal lost and request times out on mobile devices. It's loosing it for a few minutes tops and then it gets back. Firstly, I obviously suspect the ISP, but via the wire it works perfectly.
Long time ago the issue showed up using a d-link device; tried to replace it with another one zyxel device - no success.

My best guess is the location - all around here many devices providing wifi and it runs into some channel unavailability from time to time.
Atm, the wifi is set to use channel automatically.

Are there any proper solutions to this ?
Can dd-wrt solve it somehow ?
If so could you advice a decent device(that can be found in most stores worldwide) or at least manufacturer(brand) ? (no vpn support needed)

Usually using the 5 GHz band in crowded environments works better as there are more channels and the range is far shorter.

DDWRT cannot do magic.

Good routers are NetGear R6400v2, Netgear R7000 and the best one Netgear R7800

Set a fixed channel. Do not use auto.
