How are my metal friends! so long without hearing from you... how have been?

I have this case of chronic outdatedness and I wanted to ask if there would be no problems in updating to for example:r51576 or i need to first upload to a specific one and then update to the last one?

Keep rocking!

See the forum guidelines with helpful pointers about how to research your router, where and what firmware to download, where and how to post and many other helpful tips:
https://forum.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=324087

The forum guidelines will lead you to the build threads where you can post your findings and see what other users are reporting.

There are a few on this page of the forum.

Your router is almost similar to a lot of other popular Broadcom Northstar routers e.g. EA6700, EA6900, Asus AC68, Netgear R6400, Netgear R7000 etc.

After upgrade reset to defaults and put settings in manually, never restore from a backup (to a different build).
You can make screenshots with browser printing to PDF of you current settings.
Static leases can be copied from : cat /tmp/dnsmasq.conf and pasted back in the DNSMasq Additional Options.
