for some reason clients are inundating the router with excessive dhcp requests:

Code:

Jan 30 14:37:49 ProtectLi daemon.info dnsmasq-dhcp[9951]: DHCPREQUEST(br0) 192.168.1.100 XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX

Googling yielded this.

But I can't quite make sense of what's going on. It seems to be on the client side, and I've noticed it's coupled with a significant slowdown in speeds and connection reliability. Restarting the troublesome client alleviated the issue.

Setup is as follows:
Code:

modem --> dd-wrt --> various access points

Everything is on the same subnet: 192.168.1.1/24 (255.255.255.0)

I do get lots of those, especially on R7800 and R9000 and those are clients based problems that cause this type of log spam...i believe...never noticed speed drops or connectivity issues on those or anything else..its something like compatibility with Ath10k and Ath9k driver.. Rolling Eyes
