Previous: Netgear WNDR4500-V1.0.1.46_1.0.76.chk
Update Method: web
Mode/Status: Gateway/AP/Ok
Reset: No
Setup Using: Static IP, 2.4 GHz, 5.0 GHz, IPv4, DHCP Forwarder
- Boots fine, and was able to do factory defaults reset.
- 2.4Ghz and 5.0Ghz works.
- WPA2/PSK (AES) works.
- SSH works.
Issues/Errors:
- Gets stuck at "Checking crc..." for a long time during boot (several minutes) - seen via serial.
- 5GHz is slow (80Mbps), 2.4Ghz is at 30Mbps - despite gigabit speed at the port.
Router: Dlink DIR-885L A1
Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r51440 std (01/19/23)
Kernel: Linux 4.4.302-st28 #8530 SMP Thu Jan 19 04:13:50 +06 2023 armv7l
Previous: r51140
Update Method: web
Mode/Status: Repeater
Reset: No
Setup Using: 2.4 GHz, 5.0 GHz, SFE, CTF
I don't know if I'm wrong, it seems that I am the only one who owns the D-Link DIR-885L here, I really wanted to know if anyone else is experiencing excessive heat from the router, reaching 82ºC and restarting a few times.
I also noticed a performance drop on 2.4 and 5GHz networks with current firmwares. I had better speeds with November month firmwares
I've just installed this firmware on my Asus AC68U, upgrading from r50176.
But when it came back up I was presented with this screen:
I hit reboot, and now I cant make connection with it..
Whats going on?
Edit: I gave it 10 minutes.. then turned it off and back on again, and it came back online again.. Been using DD-WRT for 15 years and never seen this before, nearly gave me a heart attack.
(I'd still like to know why it happened, just so I know for the future)

Previous/Reset: DD-WRT v3.0-r50146 std (09/10/22)/ No reset
Mode/Status: Gateway, Wireless AP, Static Leases, CTF & FA Enabled. NAT and QOS Off. All services off under Status>Sys-info except DHCP server
Issues/Errors: Working fine, except having issues with dnsmasq dhcp static leases.
No reset this time, but having same issue as with previous upgrade (r39345M->r50146) . Static leases are not working fine. DHCP clients are not getting their ip from main dhcp server (dnsmasq).
I have two vlans on the switch : br0 (eth1,eth2,vlan1), vlan3 and two dhcp servers, one on br0 domain and one on vlan3 domain. Vlan3 dhcp server is working fine. The main dhcp server serving br0 is not answering requests.
I isolated dhcp traffic on interface br0 and interface vlan3 with tcpdump.
- on br0, there is clearly no dhcp replies
Code:

- on vlan3, replies are ok
Code:
root@DD-WRT:~# tcpdump -t -i vlan3 -n udp port 67 or port 68
tcpdump: verbose output suppressed, use -v[v]... for full protocol decode

Does that mean i have to clear nvram and make hard reset?
I just wanted to avoid that if possible.
I also noticed that vlan1 and vlan3 have same mac address in the Setup/Networking tab, dont know if it's wrong or right (maybe thereis a conflict, two dhcp servers serving same domain, so one is not working fine) :
