Hi all, I am not a frequent user of DD-WRT. I used long long time ago.

I recently bought a used netgear R9000 and want to use it as VPN and regular internet service. The wiki says it is WIP type of status.

Can someone tell me whether this is doable at the moment.
If yes, is there a guide or tutorial?

Thanks

Read through the thread, very slowly.

yep read the R9000 thread...there is a R9000 Vlan guide made by DWCruiser ...

once you segment your ports to vlans assign those to a separate bridges and than add
rules to route those br trough Wireguard or VPN, you can use PBR guide made by egc
https://forum.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=327397

I use 2 vlans and the rest with OpenVPN PBR ...all set via GUI and start up commands...
Cool

That is great news. I partially read that thread. I will read bit more thoroughly.

Thanks to both of you for confirming that it works.

cheers

PS: Netgear R9000 is a beast. The wireguard speed varies. It can reach over 600 mbps. most of the time stays above 400 mbps.
