Hello,

I am looking for a router that can run dd-wrt firmware and has the REPEATER BRIDGE capability. I have a Linksys WRT54GL (12V 1A ) -running ddwrt and currently using it in REPEATER BRIDGE mode - and am looking for a newer /faster unit.

The "new" router needs to be powered at 12V & max 2.5A (the lower the amperage the better) or 5V . This power requirement is driven by the fact that only Solar/battery power is available at the location router/AP is being installed (shed near house).

I've been looking through the site but could not find a way to tell if a router is capable of wireless bridging . For instance, I got a Netgear R6260 but it can only do Client Bridge , not REPEATER BRIDGE so I am back to square one.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks in advance!
