I have a dual band router.
Router Model: Dlink DIR-825
Firmware Version: DD-WRT v3.0-r37305 std (10/10/1
Router address in local network: 192.168.1.10
Default WAN Port is used (Internet connection is STATIC or DHCP)
There is also a laptop with hotspot
laptop address: 192.168.137.1
It is necessary that clients from the 192.168.1.0 subnet can go to 192.168.137.1, while the WAN should be with the same settings as before.
Need to enable WLAN interface ATH0? But how to make everything work and WAN not be reset?

A worthless and useless forum that has proven itself for a long time.

Is your laptop connected to a hotspot or do you want it to become a hotspot?
What operating system is your laptop running?
How is you laptop connected to your router?
Is your router connected to the internet with is wan port and on its own subnet?
Why are you running an outdated build?
Just some very basic questions.
To give a meaningful answer you have to share more details, preferable a drawing of the network, screenshots etc. _________________ Routers:Netgear R7000, R6400v1, R6400v2, EA6900 (XvortexCFE), E2000, E1200v1, WRT54GS v1.

It already has a hotspot. Laptop address 192.168.137.1
Quote: What operating system is your laptop running?
Windows 7

Laptop is not connected to the router. Because laptop already has a hotspot. The router should connect to the laptop.
Quote: Is your router connected to the internet with is wan port and on its own subnet?
Yes, and router local subnet is - 192.168.1.0
Quote: Why are you running an outdated build?
1. "If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it."
2. There is an assumption - that it is possible to solve the problem on the current build.

The network is very simple, why draw something there?

I am not saying a current build can solve your problem better than an outdated build but your build has security issues just as Windows 7 is outdated security wise.
The question is, is the laptop connected to the internet via its wifi to a hotspot or is the laptop itself a hotspot to which other clients can connect? _________________ Routers:Netgear R7000, R6400v1, R6400v2, EA6900 (XvortexCFE), E2000, E1200v1, WRT54GS v1.

So I assume your laptop is the hotspot itself to which other clients can connect.
You could research to use the laptops ethernet port and connect that to your router.
You can setup a bridge on the router with the same subnet 192.168.137.0/24 and assign a LAN port to that bridge, that LAN port then connect to your laptop and this will connect the laptop with the router by bridging. _________________ Routers:Netgear R7000, R6400v1, R6400v2, EA6900 (XvortexCFE), E2000, E1200v1, WRT54GS v1.

In my situation, this is not acceptable.

Will the WAN (Connection Type, settings, network interface, gateway, DNS, mask and so on) stay the same?
I repeat: the router must connect to the laptop via a WIFI connection.

The router can connect to the laptop by using Client mode (there is a wiki for that: https://wiki.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Linking_Routers ).
But then the WAN is used by the Client mode, so the next thing is to research Dual WAN setup so that you have the Client mode connected wirelessly to your laptop and the other WAN connected wired to the internet there are several wiki's for dual WAN
In theory that is possible in practice not easy _________________ Routers:Netgear R7000, R6400v1, R6400v2, EA6900 (XvortexCFE), E2000, E1200v1, WRT54GS v1.

I have already done this, after which the WAN is reconfigured.

That's why I came here to ask this question .
Could you please help me with this or give some good manuals on how to do it on DD-WRT? (because it's easier to do this on a Linux PC)

Why don't you create a VAP and connect all computers including the old hot-spot?
