How would I install Tailscale on a DD-WRT router (such as Netgear R7000) and have it implement a Tailscale subnet router, as described in this article https://tailscale.com/kb/1019/subnets/? Anyone here have success at this in recent months and how is it done?

What is Tailscale?
Tailscale is a VPN service that makes the devices and applications you own accessible anywhere in the world, securely and effortlessly. It enables encrypted point-to-point connections using the open source WireGuard protocol, which means only devices on your private network can communicate with each other.

1st you need to install it via entware and the current version could be the older one
once i asked the guys to update it a d they did but it was a time ago…
2nd why bother with it for remote management ..?? where there is wireguard..ssh or openvpn you can run on router level?
3d i used it shortly it wasn't easy to make it run but was working as it should…i posted a guide in one thread in the forum that i kinda of
managed to make, using some other guidlelines from here and there…
4th best to use the wireguard _________________ Atheros

I became interested in Tailscale because I want to be able to connect to my home network from outside, while using T-Mobile Home Internet, which uses Carrier Grade NAT.

yes tailscale is working behind a NAT ... here is the guide ... https://forum.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=1245613
I haven't used it for a long time, as i use mainly ssh now, but you yes, for remote access/administration you can use Tailscale or ngrok...or stunnel or tinc and ect...
With Zerotier I couldn't make it (on router level), but it will be similar to Tailscale and its also present in Entware as many others too... https://bin.entware.net/mipselsf-k3.4/Packages.html
Currently on Entware
Zerotier is 1.10.2-1
Tailscale is 1.32.3-1
ngrok-c 1.45-20180507-1
stunnel 5.66-1
tinc 1.1pre18-1
at the end of the day you can try with WG.. have a look here and read the egc's guides

Seems to be a broken picture in your article. Can you please review/repair and confirm the notes reflect that last best working solution for installing Tailscale. Thanks.

SoftEther that are included in dd-wrt also have similar features.
Where might I find good information on this and how to use it? Thanks

On the pic there was a screen cap of tailscale network where i can see my devices(routers, phones and PC's) via tailscale.... so, nothing missed there...the missing pic has nothing important on it and has no value to the guide !! i removed it.... _________________ Atheros
