I power down my router at night and power on in the morning. I don't touch my Fiber modem.
When powering on in the morning, my "internet" light is solid orange. Indicating a connection issue. I can connect to router via wifi, but don't have internet connectivity.
To fix this, I unplug the WAN ethernet cable and plug it back in. After 30 seconds, the orange light switches to blue indicating my internet connection is working.
This behavior started 3-4 months ago. Previously, my router wouldn't lose internet connection booting up in the morning. I've tried multiple DDWRT firmware and nothing helped.
Is there a setting in the DDWRT interface to make sure the WRT32X automatically establishes an internet connection when booting up? I'm trying to avoid unplugging the WAN cable every morning to get connected again.

I have Hotwire Fision Fiber 1GB connection. The modem is always on in my laundry room and I turn off my WRT32X at night and turn on in the morning.
I'm using Automatic Configuration DHCP for WAN connection

I've read all that and am not familiar with Telnet / SSH commands.
I just need to know if I can just upload the stock firmware. (not mentioned in those links)

Does "ddwrt-venom-uboot-flash-flat.img" have to be renamed to "venom.img" before uploading through GUI?
Flat files are intended for TTL serial flash or recovery but can also be written with mtd.
ddwrt-venom-uboot-flash-flat.img is dd-wrt. Please read the following thread carefully.
WRT32X: Original firmware. Do not upload factory stock Linksys or any flat file in GUI.
Also, you may want to try a newer release before a reset reconfigure or back to stock.
