I am trying to upgrade the firmware (DD-WRT v3.0-r33375) on a TP-LINK TL-WR841N v 8.2 to a later beta build (https://ftp.dd-wrt.com/dd-wrtv2/downloads/betas/2022/12-19-2022-r51043/tplink_tl-wr841ndv8/tl-wr841nd-webflash.bin, for example, but I tried older ones as well).
Using the GUI, it starts to flash, but reboots immediately.
Using the ssh command line (write xxx linux &), it exits the shell immediately.
I've done the hard reset, nvram erase, reset to factory defaults.
What am I missing? Should I try TFTP next? Should I try to return to factory, then start from scratch? |

yep your tp-link tl-wr841n v8.2 is 'the' 131072 bootloader size for easy update... just follow my guide...scroll down to the update step's for 1043v2, also instead of winscp try with wget (if your router is still working and has internet...)
