Router/Version: TP-Link WR1043ND V3 File/Kernel: Linux 3.18.140-d6 #157392 Wed Nov 9 03:18:37 -00 2022 mips Previous/Reset: r50671 / No Mode/Status: Gateway/DHCP Issues/Errors: wifi disconnects
I've noticed a strange behavior after the update: After waking the iPhone, its wifi icon goes away (replaced by LTE icon) for a second, and then comes back. It seems a brief wifi disconnect is initiated, as the Lease Expiration (on router's LAN status page) for iPhone is reset back to 24 h and counting.
Sometimes after waking up, the iPhone status bar already displays LTE (instead of the wifi icon), but connects back to wifi quickly afterwards.
This was not the case in my previous build (50671), or ever before.
I had one remote site with iPhone issues and searched the DDWRT Forum for answers and came across a fix to change the Key Renewal Interval to 24 hours.
Under Wireless Security the default for Key Renewal Interval is 3600 seconds (every 1 hour), change it to 84600 seconds (every 24 hours). This fix an issue at one remote site with disconnecting iPhones. I now have applied this setting to all of my APs. _________________ Home Network on Telus 1Gb PureFibre - 10GbE Copper Backbone
