So what? These are not problems only personal preferences also been "solved" by the-joker with Style-it Themes.

These armchair warrior code suggestions want phpBB 2 to look as if it is not phpBB 2, so this is all very pointless.

Maybe it's just PHPBB 2 not being able to handle high browser resolution (beyond 1920x1080?). I still think it's better to just make the "Post Subject:" stand out on a separate line, by default and without browser add-ons nor apps.

Anyway, thank you all for replying.

BTW the topic is at the top of every single page. Each and every post has a unique Post Subject, set by that user.
Post subject is really useless nobody reads these things anyway and drawing attention to it accomplishes nothing.
I do not understand what you are attempting to do other than take up additional vertical screen space, that is all.

2560x1440p works fine here without my style, in fact I have to disable the style when I worked on fixes in the past.

The beauty of freedom is in principle anyone is free to think. And you're welcome for the replies Wink.

PS. What would be more likely to happen is to make my standalone styles selectable in user profile (like in the firmware), but again this requires access to some files I dont have, and considering the amount of time it would take to ensure any changes to default dont break something else if doing this to default themes.

I repeat, at this time I cannot and will not entertain anything that detracts from dealing with my life real issues which in a matter of days will happen.

And after next week I have no idea if and when I'll have time to do ANYTHING DD-WRT related. for starters I wont have Internet access for an unspecified length of time.

This is also an unpaid "hobby" so priorities are now shifting to what matters most, in the meanwhile solutions exist.

Bring a DD-WRT router with you. Might come in handy in your trip to the wild... Smile

Im moving countries so all that's mine is coming along, when I can setup everything it will be there.

Its not a trip into the wild for a few days, There are a great deal of beasts around genus - ignoramus maximus stupidus closely resembling humans around everywhere anyway these just speak a different language, and there are warnings do not feed the animals anyway.

The doctype is missing and it's rendered in Quirk Mode in the browser.

Most definitely not missing, doctype has always been part of all pages. Except main pages currently STILL use a legacy doctype and everything else uses current doctype, I know because Ive updated them.

I am migrating everything slowly to HTML 5 and some feaures pages have been done. Wiviz for one.

In fact I reworked most <head> entries accounting specifically for mobile which rmoves some nonsense rendering since mobile renders web pages in a viewport.

Also now (and for a few latest public builds) currently we only load JS and CSS resources needed per page.
