Router/Version: Netgear R7800
Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r50814 std (11/06/22)
Kernel: Linux 4.9.331 #1334 SMP Sun Nov 6 05:03:00 +07 2022 armv7l
File/Upload: dd-wrt-webupgrade.bin / Upload using CLI
Mode: Gateway/AP
Reset: No
Previous: DD-WRT v3.0-r50474 std (10/11/22)
Setup Using: PPPOE, 2.4 GHz, 5.0 GHz, IPv4, DNSMasq, NTP TimeSync, WireGuard, Samba
Status: Stable, Working Fine ; running DD-WRT firmware type for 2.4ghz & 5ghz, uptime 1+ Hrs.

One observation since build 50500, anything added in additional options in Dnsmasq infrastructure are removed. Need to add them back.
writing new firmware with "write dd-wrt-webupgrade.bin linux &" command

though I had tried all build since 50500 except 50786, reverted back everytime to 50474.

Thank you BrainSlayer for Wonderful firmware.

Thanks all Guru for your help in forums.

Router/Version: Archer C7-v5
File/Kernel: tplink_archer-c7-v5.bin
Previous/Reset: r49599 / yes
Mode/Status: Gateway/AP
Issues/Errors: On every build after r49599 I'm having the same problem where Im not reaching the full WAN connection speed over WiFi. LAN cable speedtest is fine.

Rolling back to r49599 and everything is fine.

I dont know what is changed after r49599.

if you can't reach 25mbit over wifi then your wifi configuration is certainly wrong.

25mbit is a joke

Like I said before, on r49599 same wifi config is fine

This result is on r49599 router used as iperf3 server and laptop as client

Code:

The problem does not seam to be the wifi because its reaching 50 Mbits LAN to LAN

The problem has to be on the WAN side.

This looks quite wrong to me. Can you describe your wifi layout a little? How far away is the client from the router? That speed seems very low.

WiFi B is faster than that. What speed is your internet provider advertising?

The iperf test was Lan to Lan. The transfer was 50 mbit because the client has 65 Mbit Wi-Fi card. That's not the problem...

My advertised internet speed is 25 Mbit

With the older builds I'm getting the full 25 Mbit and with the latest build I'm getting 18-21 Mbit.

I'm guessing that the client is old. In any case, I think there is a setting that is different between the builds.
