WireGuard documentation see :

We can better help you if you provide more information e.g what routers, which builds how are those set up etc.

sorry that was stupid of me.

Fiber Connection > R8000 192.168.0.1/22 < r7000 192.168.7.1 /24 with the VPN on.

Have tried those guides and the guide on surfshark site.

Was able to use the open VPN client perfectly fine on the r7000 with the same setup.

I have the same setup working with WireGuard, I also have a Secondary router R7000 with IP address 192.168.7.1/24 connected to my main router 192.168.0.1/24.

The R7000 is in default gateway mode and runs a WG tunnel to Keepsolid without a problem.

I suppose Surfshark is letting you make a config file and it should be as simple as just importing the config file into DDWRT

If it does not work I suggest resetting the router and start from scratch so put settings in manually, do not restore from a backup.

If it still not works post screenshot of your settings.

You did not state your build but all above assumes you are running a recent build e.g. 50671

hi it the latest build using easyddup to keep the router uptodate

in your set up did you forward the port as per instruction in PDF.

also using a MTU of 1400 to be on the safe side

will set it up again and post screen shot if it fails

used the config file so will do it manually this time

cheers

For a VPN client you do not need a port forward.
