After doing a secondary search, I am retyping the question to add some clarity. While I found similar issues nothing very recent. For this issue, we are working with the WRT32X running firmware DD-WRT v3.0-r50474 (10/11/22)
I have both a Linksys WRT32X, and an WRT1900AC and this issue is happening on both of them. After adding a VLan, I loose all access to eth0. By which I mean, it appears as if it has failed. For example, the netgear cablemodem has an IP of 192.168.100.1. This is the status page and such. After adding a VLan, I cannot access this page. A ping to this address replies, no destination to host Even removing said vlan does not resolve the issue, and I have to do a factory reset. I am adding the vlan through the webgui.
Anyone else experience this? I know that eth0 (wan) is usually set as Vlan two, and the wan port is set to eth0. If I add an extra vlan, do I need to reassign the WAN port to Vlan2? Do I assign the wan port to a different vlan? Do I need to do it a different way?
VLAN success on WRT1900ACSv2, WRT3200ACM, et al. _________________ "The woods are lovely, dark and deep,

In reading through that, I need to put this into my startup script. Here is what I have so far:
swconfig dev switch0 set reset 1
swconfig dev switch0 set enable_vlan 1
#
swconfig dev switch0 vlan 1 set ports "6 0 1 2"
#
swconfig dev switch0 vlan 2 set ports "5 4"
#
#
swconfig dev switch0 vlan 3 set ports "6t 3"
#
swconfig dev switch0 set apply
vconfig set_name_type VLAN_PLUS_VID_NO_PAD
vconfig add eth1 3
ifconfig vlan3 up
brctl addif br1 vlan3
I could not find anywhere how to add the "Label" on the networking tab. Is that only on the GUI?
I will be setting up multiple dhcp servers. Do I need to configure that in the startup script as well? I also need to add vlan3 to the dmz.
I am setting up a pair of acis rigs, well trying two. I I had problems where they would only connect briefly. The main router is my wrt32x. I have the wrt1900 confiugured as a routrer, with it's wan port connected to port 3 on the wrtx. I want to put the two acis machines on the dmz. I have turned off dhcp on the wrt1900, and it is on a subnet.
