I’m using iOS 16.0.2. I got a 172.* IP address once, but no traffic got routed through it.

I used tethering a few years ago when I lost my internet for a few days. I used a procedure from here or maybe another site, I can’t remember. At any rate, at that time things had to be done in a specific order to get it to work. Is that still the case and anyone have a link to these procedures?

In 50357, I found that if I switched my SIM back to my iPhone 6 Plus using iOS 12.x, it will get a 172.* address 100% of the time.

But, traffic still not routed through that interface.

My internet is back, so I'm shelving this until I get some time.
