After finally managing to reactivate my old LINKSYS WRT150N I would like to bring it up t to date with the latest upgrade. Unfortunately, I have now configured it so that it simply passes traffic through to my Internet gateway (192.168.1.1) and I don't know how to access it directly. It is configured as 192.168.3.1. Do I need to reset it to be able to access it, and then how do I configure it to access the Internet to obtain the latest build?

Access by wired ethernet http://192.168.3.1 - are you sure it's not configured at 192.168.1.3? No reset required unless you have gremlins. Let's recap your journey, maybe it will help refresh your memory:

Latest DD-WRT firmware for Linksys WRT-150N v1.1

If I disconnect the cable from my Internet gateway and set my laptop to a static address of 192.168.3.3 I can ping the router and even telnet into it.

dhcp has been disabled. However it looks like I should be able to access the configuration via a browser, but not sure what to configure so that I am able to download a new build off the Internet
